2. Kansas State

9. Florida State
Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
SCAR being in the top 10 is a joke for so many reasons
FSU Ambassador to the masses
South Carolina at #8 is amazing.
Yea seriously how are they so high? They lost to LSU/UF by like 35 points combined. We lost by 8 to those two.
Well, try playing someone and maybe you would be ranked higher. Oh wait, you play in the ACC. You had a chance to get out and decided not to.
My son's message to Obama, Clemson, and Georgia
Woo hoo, USC is 17th
i dont give a damn what conference were in, you guys suck and shouldnt be in the top 10. try not to get blown out by UF............oh wait, try not to have tennessee take you to the wire...............oh wait
Name those reasons, please.
USC's computer average is #9 while FSU's is #21. This indicates that FSUs being in the Top 10 is much more of a joke. Clemson is tied with FSU at #21 in the computers, and they are both by far the most OVERRANKED teams in the human polls currently relative to the computer strength. The next most overranked team in this regard is Louisiana Tech (25 vs. 31) followed by Boise St. (19 vs. 23).
Make of that what you wish...
Uh, Tennessee blew out NC State, and we all know what NC State did to FSU. How do you reconcile these facts when using Tennessee to make your point? USC also has a win against top 10 UGA (#7 in the computers), which is light years better than any win by FSU.
tennessee put 35 on you and had you reeling.
Florida annihilated you and it probably should have been worse
Vandy damn near beat you
your only win over a ranked team is UGA
you guys are living on a high initial ranking and playing in the SEC which nets you a ton of points with the computers but in reality doesnt mean shit

I'm an Alabama fan and am just stating facts. Is it better to give up 35 and win or give up 17 and lose? Why is it ok to lose to NC State, but it's not ok to win a tough game against a team who blew out NC State? Please explain.
What is wrong with only having one ranked win? It's a top 10 win, and the other ranked opponents are also top 10. FSU has played nothing like that and lost to an unranked team. Also, the LSU loss was by 2pts on the road.
Why does playing a close game against Vandy matter? It was a road win - so what?
To quote you, "you guys (FSU) are living on a high initial ranking and playing in the ACC which nets you a ton of points with the computer but in reality doesn't mean shit."
Oh wait a minute, conference affiliation has no effect on the computers, and being in the ACC actually HURTS FSU, because it's such a poor conference. The only thing keeping FSU in the top is the exact thing you're claiming about USC, which is preseason expectations. The computers are unbiased and based off algorithms. In those computers, FSU and Clemson are consistently much lower than USC. If you don't understand this, then I can't help you.
And who have your team beat with a heartbeat.....dot dare say clemson because they scraped by a awful auburn team. We blew out a Georgia team that would crush fsu. Lost by two to lsu in the hardest venue to play in cfb. We never was given a chance against Florida with all the early turnovers. Bottom line is meet us on a neutral field and we would blow you guys out...
Oh, the wonderful transitive property being used to compare teams. Tell me again how that always proves itself worthy. How about Florida beat South Carolina by 33, South Carolina beat Georgia by 28, so Florida should beat Georgia by 61 correct?
Rich Rod- #22

we would be favored on a neutral field
What does that have to do with what I'm saying? All I stated was fact. FSU lost to unranked NCSU, and NCSU was easily beaten by Tennessee. I did not say UT would beat FSU, but these are undeniable facts that give the OP no justifiable argument. He's trying to use USC's close _win_ against UT as part of his argument for why USC doesn't belong in the top 10, and his argument has no merit. The computers all agree that USC is no worse than 11th based on body of work. To the contrary, FSU is no higher than 12th in any computer (worse than USC's worst computer ranking) while not even being top 25 in one of them. Clemson is no higher than 17 in any computer and is unranked in two of them.
RR never had Casteel with him in Michigan. Was his downfall. He will win ball games at Arizona now that he has his DC.
what is keeping us going is a win over a top 10(at the time) team and annihilating every team weve faced. we shit the bed in our first road game and lost by 1. its a loss but im putting an asterisk next to it in my book because of how badly the refs screwed us in the game. its neither here nor there because it shows as a loss
losing by 30+ to UF is way worse than losing by 1 to NCstate. SCAR didnt even show a pulse in that game and thats way worse in my book than blowing the game because of moronic coaching. UF is a good team so that mitigates the damage of the loss but it was a horrifying game if you are a SCAR fan. the human element has taken that into effect because SCAR is ranked 11 in both the coaches and AP. only the computer loves them and we all know that is going away in a year or two
Look, NC State was a freak game and FSU lost 17-16, no excuse. It sucks for FSU because that game is in no way an indication of how good FSU is. If that game is played 100 times, FSU wins 99.
Even with that game our average game is 45-12. We have NFL talent only second to Alabama. On a neutral field we would only not be favored against Alabama and Oregon.
Being ranked on average 21 in the computers is a joke. There are multiple teams ahead of FSU in the computers that have multiple losses and some by huge margins. If FSU is the 21st best team in the country like the computers say, then I'm Batman.
you werent given a chance because of your own ineptitude. its not like the refs took the ball from you and handed it to florida. UF got screwed by a bunch of bad calls and it could have gone a lot worse for you
on a neutral field we would be favored by at least 2 scores now that your best offensive player is out. you wouldnt want that matchup. even with lattimore wed be favored by about 4.5
Do you really believe this stuff? You haven't even played one good team yet. You gave up a ton of points to Clemson who is the only decent team you've played. Losing to NCSU was inexcusable. UT had NO TROUBLE with NCSU at all, yet they are winless in the SEC. Yes, WINLESS! It doesn't matter how badly you've beaten other doormats. What matters is how you do against solid teams, and you've only played one while losing to a weak team. USC has a better body of work as proven mathematically by the 6 BCS computers.
this is the reason the computer needs to be eliminated and is being eliminated. it is completely idiotic and only looks at black and white figures. the human element is flawed but still much better than the computer.
every person with a vote has SCAR outside the top 10 and FSU 2 spots higher than we are right now.
none of this goes against what he said
It is called playing a tough schedule.
Try not to lose to freaking NC State.
tried not to....jimbo happened
