"When I visited Bama they had Texas A&M stuff hung up on their wall. They touched it every time they went to practice. They want Texas A&M bad and Texas A&M ain’t backing down so it should be a good game.”
-Tyron Johnson '15 Top 247 WR
At first I felt this is a motivational tool by Saban, then the Can Newton tread got me thinking, Saban just adds to his Shrine? Odds there is a Can Newton statue sitting in the locker room too?
This is going to be a great showdown. Spare me the "Saban doesn't lose revenge games talk". I don't think either team is sleeping on the other. Sumlin needs to solidify his stake in the SEC.
I wonder how many Bama fans have their own personal Johnny Manziel shrines in their trailers? If Sabans doing it, they all doin it.
All Sumlin wants to solidify is his ticket out of A&M. He's fast tracking to NFL IMO
All the Bama fans that made fun of Auburn for having "Beat Bama" in their locker room need to get ITT.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
Must be why he turned down the Eagles job this offeseason
I got a feeling there will be plenty leftover crow when all is said and done though...
Why So Serious?
Texas A&M is gonna be a tough out in College Station. Tons of Bama fans are very confident and that last year was just a letdown game for us. I'm usually overly pessimistic about tough games but it should come down to the end. I do and have always said that I'd rather be the road team in big games. Brings more of a bunker mentality to the team. Players usually get that "us against the world" thing in their head and allows them to focus earlier in games. So I actually like that we play them at college station this year. Other than that the game plan will be simple. Keep our DE's and OLB's at home and just move with the pocket. Apply some pressure to Johnny Football at the precise times and help him make a mistake or two. Can Alabama's defense do that? I'm not sure.
Gonna need speed at those DE spots to keep him contained, LSU had Mingo and Montgomery
No different than the "Never Again" posters we hung up after letting AU come back and win in 2010. The message is to finish, A&M just happens to be the example for this year. After we take care of business, they'll come down.
LSU has a complete different system. We aren't gonna have speed at the true DE spots. We've got 260lb Outside linebackers that are fast. Saban will throw multiple looks at A&M's offense. Will just come down to whether or not Alabama's players executive the play correctly more times than not.
Exactly. Its not about being fast enough to contain Manziel. No team is going to have DE's like that. Its about keeping him in front of you, and throwing different looks.
Didn't Bama fans start a thread about Auburn having "Beat Bama" in their film room?
I guess the tables have turned.
Glaring difference- the Aggie stuff will come down after Sept 14th. The Auburn stuff was painted on and will most likely stay up permenently.

Bama gonna rape TAMU. Gonna take all of my winnings from week 1 and 2 and bet it on Bama.
Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
Would not recommend
"Because Bama now sucks just like FSU used to suck when we were getting dominated by OU. Does it make sense now?"- Sliger (FSU Fan)
That's a metal wall? Hmm. Well, damn.
You gonna make bank bro
Bama will win.
Baffled me too...
No one sleeps on Alabama, dumbass
Motivation, IMO. Saban wants these boys ready to play. If I had to choose a winner right now it'd be bama. No question.
"Give him six" "We don't give a damn about the whole state of Alabama" "Grit N Grind"
Keep in mind that's one of the tougher jobs to take in the NFL. One of the most impatient fan bases in the league and you're following the longest tenured coach at the time. Gotta wait for the right fit if you're going to the NFL.
I also don't think he's going to the NFL anytime soon though.
Even if I was a coach that my desired end game was NFL. And at the end of my 1st season I already had an option for the NFL and it was the Eagles or a promising next season at aTm (now with all the shiny looks of a SEC wrapper) with the returning heisman winner. I'll take another year of a great college situation easily over the eagles this year. His patience will help him to much better choices than eagles. Just my worthless 2 cents.
We are going to drill A&M by 12+.
