Great job of not contributing to the thread jackass.
You mean Ingram/Richardson/Upchurch? Or Richardson/Lacy/Fowler? Or Lacy/Yeldon/Fowler/Hart?
In blowouts or against crisply teams maybe.. Hart? When did he play????
And I never saw Fowler or Upchutch play significant minutes against anyone in the SEC, especially not against LSU.. I know Fowler got hurt and had Hart even played?
You're reaching badly.. But I wasn't flaming or trash talking.. Your top 2 get way, way, way more carries and there's no debate about that.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Never said they weren't, but nobody is as bad as him. Nice shot at Purp though
Without self-knowledge there is no individuality
Last 2 NFL drafts, the 1st RB off the board has been from ..............................Bama.
This draft, the 1st RB off the board will be from............................................Bama.
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
Ok.. Upchurch in his 4 years.. Here's his carries..
Lol that's barely any.
Hart: no snaps
So, yeah.. Only 2 get almost all carries... The other guys have barely any
That would be Giovani Bernard from NC
Oh and Ingram was a piece of shit bust
What is this NBA jam....
Ha! The memories man. Game was the tits.. That and Ken Griffey Jrs Major League Baseball. Fap fap fap fap
Hart got hurt midseason this year and truthfully didn't make a huge impact but did have carries. Fowler was injured as well. Of course the top two guys get most of the snaps but it's like a 40/40/15/5 percent division of snaps.
Ask Virginia Tech and Auburn fans about Roy Upchurch.
lol Yeah it was ,I loved NBA jam never played Ken Griffey though. I didn't get into baseball games until triple play.
Wow someone ruined your childhood if you never played Griffey
Bama's 3rd string has had more carries that lsu's 3rd man each year since saban has been here except last 2 years (4 out of 6 yrs). And in 11 it was by about 15 carries, or barely 1/game. And 12 was cause our 3rd and 4th string guys both got hurt.
Not that there is a big difference in those #s or that it matters. But lsu and bama rb rotation is very similar.
I don't think it came out for the Genesis, I could be wrong
We had 4 players with 600 yards 2 seasons ago and used 5 RBs last season.. We rotate to a fault, I wish we featured just 2 instead of using 5 every game.. Last season it was Blue (got hurt), Hill (came on mid season), Hilliard, Ford and Ware.
No in games where you are not blowing teams out you only use two running backs. The stats back it up.
Upchurch saw the field a lot in 09 even if he didn't get a ton of carries. He was the best blocker and receiver so he tended to be used on third downs.
IIRC Lacy only played in blowouts in 10. Same for Fowler/Sims in 11.
This past season Fowler played more at fullback and h-back than RB. Don't really remember what the score was at any point Hart got in. Drake only played in blowouts.
I agree with you. I honestly believe we were on our way to rotating 4 this year with yeldon/lacy getting a majority of the carries. It wasn't until fowler and hart got injured that I was thankful we had the depth. And frankly, lacy was still recovering until the end of the season.
I understand the reasoning, but prefer not to have as much of a rotation that LSU has had these past 2 yrs. but I do think we're headed in that direction.
Not sure why Bama fans are arguing. We rotate a lot, but when it's a big game we stick to 2 with the occasional 3rd change of pace guy. Fowler is the exception because he was in the half back role.
Yeah I wasn't flaming at all. Just stating facts.. I wish Hill got majority carries.. He got a lot but we had games where he should've had WAY more carries.
We had a three man rotation before Fowler went down. But hey if guys are scared of competition Bama isn't the place to come. If you're the best at a position as a freshman you will start. If Fournette wants early playing time and doesn't think he will get it at Bama but will at LSU I think that says alot about the two programs.
"We're modern-day gladiators, and that mental toughness is really important to have in a good team." Nick Saban
Says more about the RB position than it does the 2 programs
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
No. It's because were short on RB's, and he's the Top 2 player in the country and LSU is his favorite, he wants to be that "guy". Hill and fournette. Frick yahhh
Has nothing to do with the 2 programs dumbass
Wants to be the " guy " and then you name 2 players
Actually Bama/Saban prefers a 3 RB rotation
08 - Coffee, Ingram, Upchurch
09 - Ingram, TRich, Upchurch
10 - Ingram, TRich, Lacy
11 - TRich, Lacy, Fowler
12 - Lacy, Yeldon... Fowler was gettting a lot of FB/HB and RB snaps, but got hurt as did Dee Hart. K Drake's pass pro was not trusted to get snaps early in games.
13 - Yeldon, Fowler + 1 of Drake, freshmen
Assume 30 carries a game at Bama
#1 - 15ish (more if really hot)
#2 - 10ish (see #1)
#3 - 5ish (this guy is usually a change of pace guy, see Upchurch at FB and receiving, similar for Fowler and Lacy's spin was deadly from day 1)
Total, you'd like to have at least 5 scholarship RBs to start a season if you run the ball like Bama. Injuries and rotation pretty much require it.
