Where is Reggie Ragland on the depth chart?
Buried between 1 outstanding player and 1 outstanding talent. He'll probably only end up being a 1-2 year starter and 1st rd pick.
Has a shot to be in rotation next year at ILB
Played on special teams and mop-up at MLB. Should get more playing time next year and has a good chance to start in 2014 when Mosley's gone.
He will be backup next year. Part of the 2 Deep Rotation.
I mean it's whatever
i'd say the gents above did an outstanding job of answering your question.
we rotate a good number of front 7 peeps. if we play a more conventional offense i would assume he gets more pt. if we're playing spread fast paced teams, i assume he would play less and we would play smaller quicker lb's. he did well on special teams and will be on the 2 deep rotation.
I love how CNS builds depth and it sure pays off when injuries arise and kids leave early for the nfl.
Didn't an injury cost him some time early in the year? RTR.
we're very young but heading into spring he'll have a chance to play his way into the two deep.
I hope he is a beast.
Why do you ask?
Yes, he got hurt and was still on the field at lot as a true freshman on the NC team, so I take it to mean he did extremely well. He'll have a full offseason and fully injury recovery heading into next year. I see him as the 3rd ILB as mentioned above, though he may have enough time to learn one of the LB positions for providing additional impact. I'm hoping he's ready to be a dominant starter alongside DePriest after CJ graduates.
i'm not certain we will be able to keep pace after DePrIest,Hubbard, & Mosely move on the NFL.
in 2014 the backer unit may be limited to....
SLB-Dillon Lee,Tim Williams*,Tyler Hayse
MLB-Reg Ragland,Reub Foster**
WLB-Denzel Devall,Tre Williams(14' **),Walker Jones*
JLB-Jon Allen*,Xzavier Dickson,Ryan Anderson,Lorenzo Carter(14'**)
DePriest will be a senior starter in '14 unless you're presuming he goes pro after his junior year.
Don't see him leaving early at this point. Actually, and on-topic, depending on how well RR has the defense down, I think he could cut into TD's PT next season.
I could also see a guy like Foster/Daub starting in the middle along with RR in '14, if they sign with Bama... obviously.
