3x All American at 3 different positions
3x National Champion (starter in every game)
2x SEC Champion
2x Outland Trophy winner
He is Legend. He is Jones.
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
unreal player, no doubt
only thing I don't understand is when did he win that 3rd natty?
3 time POTW, member since 2006, MLWTI: 4-3
today's date is 12-4-12.
yeah we all know that
He said one W away....
Jones seems like a really good kid too. Comes across very well every time I've seen him interviewed.
in his post I see 3x National Champion....
I thought ND fans were supposed to be smart?
here we go....
guess you missed my post calling him an unreal player...
no need. should be pretty easy to figure out.
Abused by Spencer nealy...
Yea that's right, who?
Could be a 2x Outland winner
Finalist for the Rimington this year
Finalist for the Campbell (academic Heisman)
Senior class is now 60-7 over the past 5 seasons
Hugh Green was a 3x All american including Second team All-American as a true Frosh, Walter Camp Award, Maxwell Award, Lombardi Award, and finished 2nd in the Heisman as a DE...
How many national titles?
That has nothing to do with how dominant of a player he was, you can be the most dominant player of all-time but the sport is 11 on 11 not 1 vs 1, Green's resume is def better..
OP never said "most dominant player". He said GOAT college career. That distinction most definitely takes into account team accomplishments.
If it happens, winning 3 national titles, 2 SEC titles, 60 games in 5 seasons, being a 3x All-American at 3 different positions, winning the Outland, the Rimington (finalist), the Campbell (finalist), and the Outland again (finalist)....I can't think of a better career off the top of my head considering Jones wouldn't just be on the team for each national title, he would be a starter for every team...and at a different position each year.
no one said anything about how dominant a player he is.
i said GOAT career. and winning national titles is the #1 thing you try to do as a player.
It should be shouldn't it, but for some reason you are struggling mightily with the concept in this thread.
Green's career is still better, Walter Camp, Maxwell 3x all american, 2nd team all american as a frosh; 2nd in the Heisman. More impressive IMO..
but he didn't play at bama.
Individually, fine. When you add his individual awards with his team awards though...no. When you take into account that Jones also played multiple positions where he garnered All-American honors, that's amazing as well.
