On my old iPhone I used a Otterbox defender case for a long time but the rubber would constantly tear up. I was thinking about going with another case. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, I'm very tough on my iPhone and it's cases I'm looking for something that is very protective and durable. Thanks a ton.
The lifeproof case is far better, thinner and extremely durable, plus waterproof.
If you like larger, rugged cases you should check out the Otter Armor series.
If you want a thinner, durable case then the Lifeproof case is the way to go.
Both the Armor and Lifeproof cases are waterproof, shock-proof, dust-proof, and snow-proof.

Otterbox commuter. Protects it well. Not as clunky as the defender. Not waterproof though.
This. I'd never use anything but life proof. I play beach volleyball so the fact that the case is sand proof is a giant giant plus for me
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or it may last a year. But eventually, it will subside. If i quit, however it will last forever.

This, IYAM ...
Just checked those out. Pretty sweet.
Can't recommend it highly enough. It's saved my phone 7-8 times not just from drops. I can use my phone in the shower too
I have a Rokform and love it. I had a lifeproof before it and thought it was a giant turd and who really cares about swimming with your phone?
People who go to the beach...lol. Or live in a world that rains?
Ya I live on the water in fla, phone has been just fine without a waterproof case that sucks. I hated the damn thing, it was over priced, music wasn't as loud, people couldn't hear if I had it on speaker, phone wine fit on most accessories and I thought I was going to break the flap everytime I plugged my car charger in because it wasn't a little big. Giggity
I've witness 2 phones breaking glass on both the front and back when dropped from a normal height inside a lifeproof case. There is really nothing in that case that is shock resistant. Technology goes into waterproof screens. Cheaper plastic with a glued rubber seal.
Otterboxes are bulky, but can take a beating. Technology goes into materials to protect phone from impact.
Since I don't intend on swimming with my phone, I decided I would get the otterbox. If waterproof was a concern I would go with lifeproof. My phone has been ran over by a truck, no problems.
this, and it is poorly made with cheap material other than the waterproof screens
Ive set my phone on my lap and stepped out of the car, dropping the phone from ~3-4 ft onto driveway, at least 10 times in the same lifeproof case and never had a problem.
Also, like i said, i play beach volleyball. I had an otterbox and sand got in it and scratched my old iPhone all up. Lifeproof works 100x better for me.
I have the metal Rokform. It's beast and not a pain to slip in and out of pocket and not bulky.
