But Harbaugh hasn't "gotten over the hump"
This post was edited by SocialTwerker 10 months ago
Is Georgia not loaded with talent? Wasn't comparing the two at all just saying both states are loaded with talent.
So does Larry Coker.
ITT a coach who takes over the Yankees and wins 1 in 10 years is better than a coach who takes over the marlins and goes deep in the playoffs 10 years.
ITT Robert Horry and Derek Fisher >>>>>> Lebron.
ITT Eli >>>> Peyton
ITT Chizik >>>>> Strong, Harbaugh, Muschamp, Spurrier (the 1 he won was a rematch), Peterson, Chip Kelly, Gary Patterson, Jimbo fisher, Al Golden, etc.
I agree and with this rationale, Robert Horry might be the greatest player in the history of the game.
You missed my point.
2nd year-Richt 13-1 SEC Champs
2nd year-Meyer 13-1 SEC Champs If UCLA does not beat USC, Florida goes to Sugar Bowl just like we did
2nd year Chizik
Richt did the same as all the others.
Art Schlichter's cellmates and Mo Clarett's rugby team believe Ohio State always does things honestly.....
How long ago was Richt's 2nd yr at UGA? And he still hasnt sniffed the Title game after all these years, I think you missed my point
For the size of the state of Georgia, they put out as much talent as anyone. The state of Texas is what, 3x the size of Georgia?
Spurrier hasn't sniffed one in 17 years and he won 1 by backing into it. Why didn't he win more than 1 with all that talent???
You can spin things to suit your likes and dislikes.
Richt will win 1 before he retires.
Let's put it to you this way: If you're were an AD, who would you choose to lead your program? Stoops or Richt?
I would hire Stoops myself by a SLIM margin. And that all depends on the interview and what is said.
Stoops, he has won a championship several years ago with player from a team that won them on the regular.
Stoops has elevated himself to the Gene Chizik level. I take him hands down.
Dive for the thrill, shoot for the kill.
I never said I thought CMR was better than Stoops. I'm saying you are stupid for making part of your argument based on how tough a conference is.
I think people are responding to the OP's post more than they are making a point who is actually the best coach. At least, for me, that is what I did.
Stoops has a consistent winner, just as Richt. Richt could arguably be said to be the better coach as he coaches a consistent winning program in the toughest conference, whereas Stoops has mediocre competition with yearly fluctuations.
If you do look at # of championships, you could say Stoops is better.
To take a current snapshot and say that Stoops is better than Strong, Harbaugh, or any other shorter tenure coach is extremely near-sighted, but expected from a fan of a fanbase who has proclaimed their preseason natty since 1980.
1. I've only been alive since 86 so it would be hard for me to make that claim since 1980
2. Learn Sarcasm
I don't know if stoops is better or not because I don't watch Big 12 tittyball. It's almost as bad as ACC. I was just mocking the sound reasoning itt
I don't want to hear the talk about conference championships in Stoops's favor. If Richt played in the same league as Stoops and coached at Texas he'd have a similar to maybe a superior amount. The 02 team Mark Richt was unquestionably the best team in the country that year and would have beaten OSU and MIAMI by 10+. Georgia in 07 got completely screwed out of playing in the national title game. UGA has had a few chances but the ball has yet to roll their way. Until Stoops emphasizes defense again I don't like him.
The lack of knowledge here is astounding...
This guy ....he gets it.
It takes luck to get into the mnc, some teams get the lucky bounce and some teams d o not.
Also a ring makes the best it does not...

Stoops. Stopps won a natty with less talent than Richt chokes with every year.
"So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth."... Rev. 3:16
as did the chiz
finally someone gets it
Lets not talk about choking. .... try winning an sec game this season before entering this discussion or any other of merit besides one that is titled "how bad bama/uga will bitch smack auburn AGAIN this season"

Huge difference between the talent of competition in the Almighty Big 12(which now only has 10 teams) and the SEC. The Big 12 has inferior teams. The only good teams are Oklahoma and Texas(which Texas at this point isnt even good anymore).
Richt is a better coach. Stoops is a great coach, dont get me wrong. But Richt is a better overall coach than stoops.
Stoops and Oklahoma would never win a national title if they moved to the SEC
You dont know football if you gotta ask that...and because you are so lacking in football knowledge your opinion on this debate is ignorant.
