Anyone else heard this?
Yeah, yeah* [Chorus 1: ~Khujo Goodie, Big Boi~] [K.G.:] She said her name was Tangerine, damn the American dream She all about her fuckin cream, so shake it ...
Big Boi is a much better MC than he ever gets credit for.
The beat on this song is just flat out sick.
That song came out three years ago, but this the first time I have heard it.
For some reason Big Boi, like CMXI said, just doesn't get the hype or even airtime for his music. One of my buddies gave me the CD that this song came from and I hadn't heard one song on it at all. I mean every single song was awesome. Yet when I listen to rap on the radio it is 95% pure BS.
I personally don't get it.
I mean a song that literally says nothing but "Dance and make her dance" over and over again plays every hour. WTF

That is why I listen to songs I download on my IPhone
I won't lie
I am way behind when it comes to cellphones and stuff like that. I just use the phone that my engineering firm pays for. Hell I don't even have an IPod. One of these days I'm going to get with the program I guess. I still have friends bitching at me because I've never had a facebook page.
Bumped to it for almost a year. Dunno how you could miss it...
Here's another one I loved from that cd...
[Verse One: Big Boi]
Get the South dick up out your mouth, what are you talking about
See we know everything you're about, so try another route
Paperboy, you can't destroy what we done built
Pick on someone your own size, or fuck around and get killed
But not like the kilt above you knees, BB
Will plant you niggaz like seeds, or fertilizer for the trees
Emergency vehicle last seen speeding from the scene
Nigga, take one for the team now he's bleeding from the spleen
Stay so fresh and oh so motherfucking clean
No blood spatter or evidence, long distance with a beam
We come in peace while some of ya'll niggas come in greed gluttons
Fucking up the game like ice, heroin, or speed, slow down nigga
[Verse Two: Big Boi]
Speed it up like The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, boy go fast
Not a hobby, this my life, you disrespect it, that's your ass
As one half of the Outkast, return like the ghost of Christmas past
It's the son of Chico Dusty, must be West Savannah bad
Had to got to church every Sunday with Great-Grandma and Grandad
Taught me always follow Jesus when the grass didn't have a path
If I ever fell astray, then God will get me back on track
Didn't say that Rico, Ray, and Pat was getting with me and Three Stacks
Then we spitting cuz we killing everything we attack
Special Forces of this rap game, so you best take heed of that
All that shit you rappers lack, we got plenty, here's snack
Don't ruin their appetitie, cuz you shit is really wack
Wack ass nigga
[Outro: Big Rube]
Another battle one, Another story to tell
Listen to the angelic plucking of strings
As Sir Lucious puts his left foot forward
And rides off into the horizon of infinite regression, victorious
Undefeated on the battle field against the means of ignorance, greed, and hatred
All contenders to the throne are left naked
Because the truth is the only thing you can never be stripped from
And if you want to commit to that truth
Then you could end the vicious cycle that's affecting our youth today
I you just stop lying, if you just stop lying
There is a reason why Outkast was successful, they balanced and enhanced each others talents. The same reason Cee-lo was not part of the group.
I Believe Auburn and Love IT...4 Life!
You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
Outkast is the greatest rap group of all time
I would have to agree when you say "group".
I mean Wu Tang Clan is right there with them, but I personally like Outkast better.
Really greater than Run-DMC, Wu-Tang Clan, N.W.A., The Fugees, A Tribe Called Quest or even Public Enemy ?
I'm sorry but I never thought Public Enemy was worth a damn. They are far better than N.W.A. as well.
Now you could have an argument with DMC, Wu-Tang or A Tribe Called Quest. I honestly think that all four are about equal. It really just depends on the style of rap that you like. I don't think you would be wrong if you listed any of the four I just mentioned.
Yes, thus the term "greatest"
You're leaving out UGK
Tier 2 IMHO. I put them along with say Goodie Mob and 3-6 Mafia.
I like outkast but I don't see them as the greatest rap group of all time. top 10 yes
Actually if we are talking about "groups", I would put 8-ball and MJG right up there with Outkast. Not quite as good but they are pretty damn close.
Love Ball & JG
The Fugees deserve mention - three unbelievable MCs, one of them being possibly the best female MC ever.
I did mention them, them and Boyz II Men are my favourite rap group and R"n"B groups of all time.
Ah, yeah, sorry, I could've worded that better. I meant to congratulate you on including them in your list. I'm listening to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill right now, absolutely unbelievable record.
