Can anyone argue otherwise? I'm tired of hearing of how great MJ was when Bill Russell completely owns him in titles.
Your trolls are just stupid my man
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
You need to retake trolling 101. You failed it the first time.
Just like I've told everyone who bags in LBJ... It's not a about titles... There are other players who have more titles and aren't shit... As of now MJ is the best of all time (that could change when LBJ retires but we'll wait and see about that when that time comes)
(trying to reverse the troll and actually talk basketball lol
Yeah I feel you
LBJ is better than Jordan from a talent standpoint but his game and attitude lack what Jordan had
That is where the difference will always be
And in terms of titles people love to forget Jordan retired in his prime
Had he not, well I see no way he doesn't win 8 or 9 in a row.... but it is what it is
I just liked Jordan the man, and how he approached the game compared to a Lebron James
Indeed, Jordan would literally kill someone to win the game, I just don't see that from LeBron (Especially on a consistent basis)
University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
He doesn't have it in him
Some guys don't, Lebron is a great player and can do things Jordan could never dream of doing
But when it comes down to crunch time, Lebron would make my top 10 of guys that I would want with the ball in their hands
And off the court, Jordan had a cool factor that Lebron will never match
Not only would kids get short for a pair of Jordan's but Jordan had a sweet dress game and just had that style that anything he touched instantly became cool
I also think Jordan was the much better defender, not to say Lebron doesn't play defense cause he does and is getting better and better on that side of the ball.... but for now, Jordan was a more fierce one on one defender and one of the best away from the ball

Here come the MJ fanboys
EDIT: Actually surprised at how non-fanboyish this thread has been

I will begin to care about whether Lebron is good enough if anyone ever plays defense in the NBA again. People bled back in the day, now they flop.
"So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth."... Rev. 3:16
I agree, LBJ does not have the killer instinct all game, every game.
MJ retired in his prime but still played 15 seasons if I remember right.
LBJ has the most god given, natural talent I've ever seen and is a student of the game, is unselfish and plays on both sides of the court. He could very well end up with 8-10 titles if he stays with the Heat (they see proven to surround the best player with good players) I also think he will set just about every record, except scoring mostly because he doesn't have to score 30-40 pts a game like Melo and Durant does.
I also like his off the court attitude, he's humble, generous, and extremely personable.
LBJ also brought basketball back for me. Since MJ had retired, I basically stopped watching basketball. But once LeBron started playing in HS (sophomore year) I started watching his games and have ever since

Average NBA player height when Russell played was 5'11". Fact
MJ's big men.
Bill Cartwright (Age 73)
Exactly. What seperates MJ from LJ, is he never shared the court with more than one all-star, much less a NBA Finals MVP. Lebron has Dwade (much better offensive player than Pippen, although Pippen was a shutdown defender) and one of the best shooting PF/C in the game with Bosh. MJ never had an all-star frontcourt player to take pressure off of him.
The Lebron lovers will comment how he took Cleveland to the NBA Finals, but when a conference only has five teams with a winning record then it wasn't a some great feat.
Had MJ not left basketball to go shag fly balls for the Chi Sox, the Bulls would've won eight in a row. In the end, I believe Lebron will win 5-6 titles depending on how his career shakes out, but he will never match MJ as the greatest ever.
Pippin and Rodman? Both HOF guys...
I wasn't going to say anything about Cleveland but since you brought it up... Taking the worst team in the league to the finals is a pretty impressive feat, no matter what you want to say about it. Not to mention NO ONE behind him...
He didn't have Rodman during the first 3-peat.
As far as impressive feat, the Eastern Conference was a joke that season.
Worth mentioning the NBA is completely different today than the 90's. Like the NFL, it's soley geared towards offense. MJ would be absolutely ridiculous with today's defensive rules.
MJ wouldn't be the player he was then, today... Athletes are to good IMO. he'd be good, but not as dominate as he was.
But I guess you can take off those other rings then, when he had Rodman... Wade is a very good player, but is no where near the player he used to be. Not to mention he's been hurt the last 2 months. Bosh, is Bosh... Hot and cold, enough said.
Ok you just lost your mind with your first statement.
Wade is getting worse this year and starting to slow, but he was very good last year and the year prior. Even a cold Bosh is better than anything MJ ever had in the frontcourt.
He had Rodman for 3 of the 6 championships
You have your opinion I have mine, the game had changed, guys are bigger now. You have guys like LeBron, Durant, Melo, etc running the league, all big guys who can move, shoot and some D (minus Melo, he's just lazy on that side of the court)
Wade was good last year, but LeBron stoll was MVP and still ran the team, even more so this year.
I think your really discounting Rodman A LOT... Just hin being on the court was a force on both ends.. Bosh doesn't compare to the things Rodman did on the defensive side. But has better offense.
Point is, NO ONE can do it alone, not MJ, Bird, Kobe, Wade, LBJ, Magic.. No one.
Did he play in the 40s?
