Bl2 is a game I will play consistently for a very long time. I really really really like my siren.
Ban him mountie
Hahaha, FC3 is HIGHLY repetitive. Climb this tower, takeover this camp of ruffians, etc.
Just got bored, man. Found myself playing Borderlands instead.
I quite agree here. Its the same thing over and over, I haven't even played it in a week. I don't even want to continue it.
I'll take two Gunzerkers, please.

I am convinced that Pete will give me every single legendary other than a few obvious ones like the norfleet. I have been hitting him solo on the 4 player setting. Even at 1 player he drops a lot. I should start trying trying to get into the treasure room though.
Pete? Is he much easier now?
It depends on how fair you want to be. If I use the evil smasher glitch, I can drop him in about 30 seconds with Axton. Other classes would be faster. If you miss the bee, that is the way to go.
Not familiar with this glitch.
We have farmed him a lot and he really hasn't dropped much for us.
The evil smasher (quest reward) has a chance to have 10x power. If you reload, switch to another weapon and switch back immediately, It will power up almost every time. That effect stacks and, most importantly, it applies to all of your other weapons as well. You can easily have an infinity pistol firing a hundred bullets each time. I usually use a sand hawk to take down his shield and switch to a baby maker or a pistol to finish him off. I have read about people powering up their guns to insane amounts, but I just power mine up slightly. Then I let the elevator come down on my head so I don't have to use eridium to respawn him, don't have to wait for the elevator to get back down and I don't have to reset to 4 players each time.
He is streaky. There have been times when I get nothing in 20 runs and times when he gives one or two legendaries each time. But at most it is 2 or 3 minutes start to finish. I've been selling legendaries in the vending machines.
I think we have gotten a few pieces of orange loot from him but that is it. Problem with trying to get them from him is he has a chance to drop any piece of loot in the game, makes it harder to get something specific.

I've got something to say! It's better to burn out than fade away!
Vexerr posted a story about this a while ago. I tried it out and it only went up in power one out of about 20 reloads for me. Got frustrating extremely quickly. I am not sure on this, but I also seem to remember reading the glitch with it upgrading all of your guns only being present on PC for some reason.
I would try it again. I am on a PC, but it I am almost certain it works on every platform (per the forums). The key is to just keep repeating the keystrokes. For me if the evil smasher gun is in slot 2, I hit "R,3,2" again and again. It just takes about 30 seconds to get the guns powered up. When I start hearing the explosions each time I just keep repeating and checking the ammo counts on the guns in my other slots to see where I am at. The evil smasher never reloads. The effect happens at the begining of the reload. When I switch to slot 3 it stops the reload. I switch back to slot 2 before the slot 3 gun reloads. It sounds more complicated than it is.
If I am farming Pete I only have to do that once. That is another advantage of letting the evelvator kill me rather than saving and quitting. Of course at some point the floor gets so filled with crystals and loot that I have no hope of finding a legendary so then I have to restart.

OK I see what you mean. I would let it reload so it would power up once then the next like 15 reloads would have no effect. I may give it a shot, I still have one in my safe.
I never got to use the bee/cc pre-patch, but I can promise that this is just as good. I just make sure I never actually use the evil smasher and I switch out from gun 3 and back to 2 before it appears. R very slight pause, 3,2 immediately. If my sand hawk shows 50 bullets I am at lvl 1, then 67, 83. When it is 135 or even 185, well ... Looking at the ammo counts on the other guns is the only way to see what is happening.
We might need to play some this weekend.
Yeah, I will def be getting some BL in tomorrow before this event ends.
My streak of no legendaries from the Warrior continues. He seems to be dropping them for everyone else tonight.
I have been playing Borderlands 2 solo. What is the best way to get the best guns? Also I finished the game once and am only level 36. Is that about right or am I missing something else to do. Thanks guys!

That's about right for finishing playthrough 1, all of us were around that level. The best way to get the best guns is to farm enemies that drop them. If you're talking orange (the rarest) loot, here is a wiki drop list of who drops what: http://www.bl2wiki.com/Legendary_Gear . There should be a link in there for lists of purple and blue loot, not as rare but a lot of them have flavor (red text) in their description which gives them special abilities. It may take quite a few kills to get them. If you want the guns you get to be level 50, beating playthrough 2 to get every enemy in the game to level 50 will be necessary. If not, just trying to get them on PT 2 will get you some pretty beastly guns.
I will play through it again. Thanks for the info. I have gotten some orange items but sold them. They did not seems better than the items I already had. Are all orange items better then the rest?
It really depends on their level, typically if they are on the same level as another weapon they are better. The stats they have don't always seem to be better, but they behave a bit differently than the other guns in the game, and require use before the difference becomes apparent. There is also a wiki that explains what the red text does for most weapons, and how they behave. I will say some orange items aren't as good, but they are kind of cool to see used a few times. An example of this is the deliverance shotgun, when you throw it the thing follows an enemy until it hits it instead of the typical tediore toss to reload. It is cool and an solid gun, but not as good as some of the other guns.
Pete has absolutely been on fire today with the buffed drop rates. It is to the point where I am disappointed to see another Shredifier since I have no room. Time to create a third character.
Got some new heads and skins on the way.

I am such an idiot. I thought that because the bank only had 16 slots that it could only hold 16 guns. I am going to add 100 more guns to each character's bank vault.
