I am going shopping after work.
Suggest some good bourbon/whiskey's. Do not want to pay more than $30 for a .750.
Bourbon must be cheaper in your area. I can't get any of those for under $40.

Can't go wrong with Makers.
Maker's is $25 for 750 here in FL in my area. Gentleman Jack is $30. I've never even heard of the other ones.
Old Crow, Evan Williams, Wild Turkey
I can get Four Roses SB for $30. It's really good bourbon. Hell, their yellow label ($15) is a great value.

Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage, Maker's, Bulliet, Gentleman Jack. Those are probably the best bourbons I can come up with under $30 or close to it. If you're just looking for whiskey, Jameson, Michael Collins (blend), and Tyrconnell are all good Irish whiskeys that should be under $30.

Next time you see it I would highly recommend buying a bottle. The name "Evan Williams" scares off a lot of people, but it's actually a very nice bourbon. I drink it neat and really enjoy it.
Evan SB is pretty good. It's about $25 here (Mississippi).
The best bourbon on a budget is Maker's Mark. It will probably be close if not a little more than your $30 a bottle price(a lot depends on state taxes), but you won't be disappointed. The Woodford Reserve and Basil Hayden's are excellent choices but in my area are $50.00 or more a bottle.
There's a lot of blood, sweat, and guts between dreams and success.
Blanton's about $65 but WELL worth it
Blanton's is my favorite. Just look for the horse on top!
I guess there is one benefit to living in Mississippi. Our liquor isn't near that price. I bought a bottle of Blanton's the other day for $50 and that was tax included. Have you tried Redbreast?
If you like Irish whiskey you should try Powers. I think it's even better than Jameson and that's pretty smooth itself. Same price.
Ugh show off. No haven't had that yet. Will look for it though if highly recommended
Strongly disagree. Four Roses SB and Evan Williams SB are comparable in price and much better than Maker's.
Must be nice. It is $30 for Four Roses Small Batch here. Single Barell is like $45.
I would definitely recommend it. It runs around $55 here, andit's a nice bottle to have around. Very interesting and has a creamy taste to it.
Kesslers or Canadian Hunter. Am I doing it wrong?
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
Not to be a bourbon snob, but Gentleman Jack is not bourbon.

Completely agree on Evan Williams single barrel - I always keep a bottle on hand.
Is it Whiskey?
I've never understood the difference between bourbon and whiskey.
On a side note, how long does a 750 last you guys? I will finish one in less than a week. Do I have a problem?

Bourbon has certain requirements that have to be met to be labeled 'bourbon'.
If I am going in to buy whatever I want and if I want to drink it straight, I buy Woodford Reserve. for 750ml for $30 or so I'd grab Makers, especially if you are making mixers. makers makes a wonderful bourbon and coke.
I'm a big fan of bourbon and have tried most of them, and at all prices. You just can't, IMO, do better than the Kentucky Sour Mash brands (Jack Daniels and Evan WIlliams black label, Jim Beam). Personally, I prefer Jim Beam although not all Jim Beam is sour mash. I enjoy them straight but usually drink them with Coke or Sun Drop (the latter being my preference).
Jack is usually the most expensive of the three with EW being the cheapest. All 3 can be purchased in the Carolinas for less than $30 per fifth (750 ml).

Sometimes a 750 last me 2 nights, sometimes it last me 2 weeks or 2 months. Depends on my mood and time of year. Summer time I tend to drink more vodka for whatever reason.
