Inevitables for baseball season:
- 1 unexpected team has a great April and May. Some idiots jump on the bandwagon. Said team fades.
- 1 expected team has a bad April and May. Some idiots jump off the bandwagon. Said team finishes as expected.
- Insert same scenarios for an individual players. 1 will be the GOAT and return to earth. 1 will be terrible like said idiots always told everyone, even though nobody was around to hear it, then will finish with normal numbers.
- Same idiots will show up in this thread declaring the Braves terrible after they lose 3 in a row, then will disappear when they win 6-10 in a row. Most of them tend to be Bama fans and will deny they ever dogged the Braves during a winning streak.
You can probably find me saying it in this thread 5+ times, but baseball is not for the reactionary sports fans who are the target audience for the current tmz style sports reporting.
Simmons is the truth. I think we have a future face-of-the-franchise in the making.
Missed opening day because TWC in Charlotte sucks dicks. I'm still livid.
Anything but a homer there and we would be calling for his head

After visiting famed orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews on Monday, Braves relief pitcher Jonny Venters has received a platelet-rich plasma injection in his throwing elbow, the club announced Tuesday. Venters will be shut down for four weeks.

Haha, Look what Uggla said... Oh and this is a really good article on Uggla that came out like an hour ago..
After the Braves put two runners on with one out in the ninth during that memorable September game, Uggla was announced as a pinch-hitter and then replaced by the left-handed-hitting Lyle Overbay once the Phils brought Papelbon out of the bullpen.
When Uggla walked away from the on-deck circle, he purposely went to the second entrance to the dugout to avoid a confrontation with manager Fredi Gonzalez.
"If I would have walked in the first entrance [of the dugout] and he would have slapped me on the [behind], there's a good chance we would have fought," Uggla said in September.
As Spring Training progressed, Dan Uggla repeatedly said he felt much better than his statistics indicated. Coming off the most frustrating season of his career, he approached the regular season with the confidence that this year will prove much different than the last.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Uggla looks like a softball player.
Uggla would just swing and miss if he tried to fight anyone.
Except he knocked it out of the park last night
RIP Lil Julio
Blind squirrels and stuff
Lets do this fellas!
I hope the rain slows down.
Goodness Umps are so damn inconsistent.
UPTON!!!I love this guy! Bromance brewing...
Upton truly has the talent to be an MVP type player.. No lie, he's THAT talented.
He just needed a change of scenery and all the crap that was said about him this offseason obviously made him work harder.. Plus, they have to pitch to him in this lineup.. He's just entering his prime and man, this might end up being the best offseason move in Baseball.
Halladay actually has a lot of movement and decent velocity. He's pitching very well and I think we just have a GREAT line up that will be able to hit good pitching. Roy looks like he'll have a bounce-back year, not old Doc, but still formidable and way better than last year.
We have one hell of a lineup and we're hitting good pitches and capitalizing on mistakes by the pitcher.
Lol, Doc has 7 K's.. And we have 7 outs by K's.. And we lead 3-0, I love baseball.
EDIT: now 8 K's on 8 outs.. haha
