There is no doubt that FSU/Miami would have been a better draw, both in attendance and in TV ratings than FSU/GT. Like I said, Swofford should be pissed.
nobody wants to see G Tech play anyone
that civil war era offense makes my eyes bleed
I hope Miami gets hammered.
I hope Miami sues the NCAA and wins.
There isn't much that can make me root for Miami but when UNC got a pass the NCAA was done. I hope they get wiped out and we have a new governing body that actually does something.
And if I was Emmert I would tell Swofford to STFU or his precious UNC is going to get raped over the 200+ fraudulent classes, many of which ensured fraudulently that student athletes remained eligible when they shouldn't have been.
Emmert got all the power in the world and no oversight.
A little too late for that.
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
Again Lamp, Why?
Who is the governing body that oversees the NCAA that will tell them they can't do that.
Let's assume that if the NCAA hammers Miami, then Miami will sue the NCAA for $10,000. How much of that will Emmert pay personally? $0
Let's assume that Miami is going to sue for one billion dollars. How much of that will Emmert pay personally? $0
He does not care. Nothing that happens can impact him in any way.
Emmert is erroneous. He will be fired before the season begins.. Don't think for a second congress won't intervene soon with the NCAA. If they did it with juicing in baseball they will dang sure do it with CFB. It boils down to corruption, money & power. Sounds like Congress.
Because the NCAA already opened their mouths about UNC and said that they have no jurisdiction (... ironic...).
Whether you think so or not, Emmert doesn't want to lose his job. It would be a career killer.
With all this legal talk, what's the end game here?
the fact that UNC didnt get the death penalty for the fake classes thing still drives me insane. the two worst run organizations in college football, the ACC and the NCAA, have to be in cahoots.
i hate miami with a passion but the UNC scandal is so much worse than paying players. miami just got caught doing something that literally every competitive football school does behind closed doors. at least you can say the administration wasnt in on it with the shapiro thing. maybe some coaches but not the academic folks. the UNC scandal is quite possibly the worst thing ive ever seen and they got a free pass
