To all the buckeye Fans that came to our site and guaranteed Dontre Wilson was Jumping ship here
Oregon offered Daeshon Hall, a UW commit back in the day. Hall committed to Washington because his dad lives in the state. He'd definitely give Oregon a look and play with Tre if that was a possibility. His teammate DeMarcus Ayers was committed to Wazzu at one time but his pos. coach left for Texas Tech. Ayers was considering Texas Tech following that move but would love an offer from Oregon.
Scott Frost was hesitant at first but appears to be coming around. The duo could take a trip to Oregon once the HC is announced and the Ducks decide whether they will offer Ayers or not. Don (Dontre's dad) said he might send Dontre up with them on the visit if it happens and if he can afford it, but that was no guarantee.
Either way, the Ducks could get involved here if they want to, I guess it will move quickly either direction if they do once Helfrich is named HC.
If Oregon does pursue and offer Ayers and Hall that only further solidifies Dontre's commitment to Oregon as his father pointed out.
His father also pointed out Dontre isn't really keen on taking these visits to Ohio State and Ok State but is also doing so just in case things go terribly wrong. "It's a business decision and what kind of father would I be if I wasn't looking out for my son."
Meaning, he wants to make sure Dontre has other options before it's too late and this is backup if anything were to happen to Helfrich and/or coach Cam.
not looking so good now.
Yea nice try troll
No troll go to our site and read it for yourself, posted by Justin Hopkins who has been talking to Tre's Dad. Truth hurts i know i felt like that when Kelly left, it will all work out little fella.
The tweet by Erin Hartigan suggests they could be playing college ball together?

Thanks for the info from Hopkins. We'll see what happens in the coming weeks with this recruit. We have a few other guys on the board right now as well so if OSU does miss out on Wilson, they have three guys to look at as well. Thanks again.

Oregon fans feel better about it, but its far from over by any means..
It is a good idea to at least look around if it indeed goes south for him and Oregon. When he takes his visits, will his dad or any other family come with him? It's always a big deal and a pretty good indicator of the seriousness of the recruit if he's bringing family along.
A flip makes sense in this case. I have no inside info, but he's not an instate kid. Yall haven't even named a coach yet. Ore has possible sanctions coming. Just seems like a kid who's a candidate for a flip. Have no clue if he will or not, but I know BN writers were pretty optomistic after talking to his coach. We shall see.
Hopefully the guys that went to your site weren't asses by the way.
His coach is NOT his dad who Justin's been close wit for over year IF not longer...I trust Justin in this matter cuz he's pretty tight wit Don, Dontre's father.
Ask Buckeye Jimmy about that
I'm sorry Ohio State fans came to your board, they are animals that know no limits. Again, sorry.
Our quarterback does front flips, suck it.
lol All good bro, it was the same day Kelly left so it was a little much. I'm not a angle all the time but i would not go to someones board and rub slat in the wound either.
That's just Buckeye fans bro, again, sorry.
We will see where he signs, dunno how this one is going to turn out. I can tell you Urbs isn't putting all his eggs in this basket, but he is def making a push.
Oregon is done. Time to cling to the 49ers or whatever

go take your meds and go to bed.
I know you are scared. I understand . It's hard without control. Don't worry, you , personally, will be fine
Scared of what USC? I live my life knowing i have no control over anything except how i handle myself, but thanks for the support.
I think he is referring to the NCAA coming into town. Honest question not trolling, what are you guys hearing? Do you think this plays a role in some of these recruits decisions?
Last thing i heard is that the NCAA and UO had a bowl ban off the table, but then the NCAA said we changed the wording on some of the paper work so they decided to takes to in front of the rules committee. IMO i don't think we get a bowl ban, just some scholly's reductions. That last part of your question is a good one, I think it does somewhat. I mean i'm sure other colleges use negative rec. against us, Chip K IMO has had a bigger impact on our recruits. Hope that helps.
It probably is effecting recruits to a certain extent because it's clearly obvious many opposing coaches are using it as leverage and negative recruiting Oregon. Realisticly, it shouldn't be effecting recruits. We are definitely not getting off with a slap on the wrist like alot of Duck fans feel, but I don't think we get hit as hard as opposing fanbases think or should I say hope?
I think it is likely we get hit with similar sanctions to Ohio St at worst. Few years of probation, reduced schollies for a few years, most likely 9-15 over three years. Limited visits and contact with PSA's and possibly a one year bowl ban and I'm not sure if that's given. I don't think it will effect thr program or recruits at all once we have received the sanctions, but it will effect recruiting while we're in limbo because like I said above many coaches are using them against us.
No way we get the death penalty. It really is pale in comparison to what happened at PSU or USC. The NCAA was supposed to give us our sanctions between March and August of this year, but it's now being said it may take longer because they are dealing with the Miami case first. Limbo is what is hurting us. Not knowing is the biggest punishment.
Of course people will say Chip pulled a Pete Carrol and split because if impending sanctions, but I really don't think it had anything to do with Chips decision. It's been known for years that Chip was NFL bound.
Even though it hasn't come out publicly, it's very likely that the UO staff has been self imposing sanctions. We are taking a small class this year. We have not had many kids visit officially and the staff did not hit the trail nearly as hard as years past. It looks like self imposed sanctions to me. Woah, that was long winded. My bad. Lol
Good level-headed assessment.
Pretty solid group of Duck posters on this board
Scared of life after Chippy
Were Buckeye fans scared when Woody left? Okay then. It's strange how much dismay Buckeye fans have for Oregon. I've never seen such a jealous and hateful fanbase. And the funny thing is OSU went undefeated and is rich in tadition, etc, but some of their fans are obsessed with Oregon. Do you know how many Buckeye fans lurk on thr Duck board? It's kind of flattering, but it's also a little creepy.
I don't really know about all that Ohio st stuff. I'm a USC fan .
