He will have to do it for a few years
You can make arguements for others as the top, but any list with Tim Tebow is utter garbage. Without Timmie T's running/jump pass packages as a Fr, UF doesn't win it in 2006. They certainly don't win it in 2008 without him. If they were lucky enought to have made it to ATL without him, Bama would have crushed them that night without TT (he was on fire). Like him or not, he is easily one of, if not the best CFB in the last 10 years.
Best single year in the last 10: I hate to say this, but Cam Newton without a doubt. Without CN, that AU team would have been lucky to go 8-4 in the regular season. Him and NF made Gene Chizik a lot of $$$ (it certainly was not GC's coaching).
My vote for the best player in the last 10 years (looking at their CFB body of work) is Tim Tebow.
RB was fun to watch, but DMac was the best RB (not really close) in the last 10 years. DMac did his damage with everyone with a pulse knowing where the ball was going and on a decent Arky team with NO PASS threat (except DMac out of the wildcat). RB was sick in the open field, but he did it with a cast of all-stars around him and he got yanked on short yardage for LeDale White.
As much as I hate to admit it, Tim Tebow is the hands down winner of this one.
No player has had as big of an impact on everyone as Tebow and he did nothing but win championships.
Steve Spurrier is a God, and Mark Richt worships him
Yeah he was in 04 and 05. Finished 6th in 03.
Had a better record (37-2) than Tebow and won 2 NC's as a starter.
Also hard for him to break SEC records, but he did break the PAC-10 single season TD record.
Leinart is underrated because of his struggles in the pros, but in college he was as good as it got, especially in big games.
I will say that he was the absolute truth
Beatings will continue until morale improves
Troy Smith...HA HA just kidding. Suh or Tebow.
I am a Buckeye...proof there is a God in Heaven who loves me.
For one thing we need to define the decade as 2000-2009. New decade is 2010-present
Lol i didnt mean he broke a record in the SEC but thay he broke a rushig touchdown record.
He is underrated
Switching to offense can I add Calvin Johnson and Michael Crabtree
Running over linebackers for one
