He is returning for his Senior season!
If we can stay healthy and Hubbard or someone else steps up in pass rushing, I think this could be our best team under Saban. Damn we are loaded
Maybe he can catch Johnny next year
Y'all got us this year, next year it isn't gonna be so pretty lol.
University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
This^^^ I hope JM is enjoying all of this because there is no where to go but down from here. Opposing SEC defenses will circle the TAMU game from hear on out with the emphasis on shutting down JM.
Love watching Mosley play, especially after returning from that injury last year.
the rest of college football might as well give us the crystal ball from here on out. this is absurd the level of awesome that we are right now.
the 2013 bama team will easily be better than this year's bama team
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
Our D is tailor made to stop the TAMU type offense.. And TAMU loses what, 3 starters on that OL? Yeah, Johnny football ain't winning in Death Valley
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Not saying he isn't but every year guys say they're coming back before bowl games only to bolt.
"People always ask me if I wish I were bigger. I tell them no. I always wanted to be a miniature badass." Dustin Pedroia
Are we actually going to keep him?
Lot's of smoke on him going to the Browns. TBH if he wins on January the 7th and he feels like he wants to give it another shot then it's not like we could really bitch. I'm hoping that he's only vying for more money, but I have a bad feeling about this.
Yep, he's told everyone he's staying and even the Brown's and Trent Richardson (Browns RB0 have said the same thing. Saban will retire here.
That sure as hell makes me feel better. I haven't heard Saban say anything regarding all the reports personally. I actually thought that his lack of saying anything to disregard all the reports were writings on the wall. I'm just glad that I missed the reports instead of them not being said.
Thanks for the info really.
Mal Moore has also said Saban is staying FWIW
I actually saw that report yesterday, but he said that he "believed" that Saban was coming back. I think that is why they were discussing it on PTI and ATH yesterday afternoon. I really haven't heard anything from Saban personally or the Browns but I believe you.
I'm relieved at this point. The first rumblings that I ever heard was from Terri saying that he just wasn't really happy after wins anymore. Sure enough the NFL rumblings began the next day. I thought not hearing anything from him was a bad sign, but I don't get to read everything out there as much as I've been working the last couple of months.
Saban also said he was staying at LSU.. And he said he was staying in Miami.. Lol, like he is going to say, "yeah, I'm leaving" before the MNC game.
that being said, I highly doubt he leaves Bama
Even if he wouldn't say anything publically, I would hope that he would at least give Mal Moore an idea that he was thinking about a possiblity of returning for unfinished business in the pro's. He's 61 now and it's not like he has a long chance to make the jump if he wants to. I honestly don't think that Saban and the pro's fit. He's an awesome coach for sure, but he is far different when it comes to personality as a HC than say a Pete Carroll.
Those NFL players just don't put up with dictartorship mentality. If he could get them to buy in, then I think he would be extremely successful at that level. Somehow Belicheck makes his guys buy in and they are similar in that manner.
Look, if he beats ND, and honestly if he doesn't, it's not like Bama fans can really fvcking complain if he wants to go that route. Would I be upset? Sure I would but in a sad way and not a pissed off way. Dude picked us up off the carpet and has already won us two natties, and probably will be three. I personally don't see Saban losing this game with a month and a half to prepare against a freshman qb.
I would just hope that he would give our administration a heads up that he is at least considering it so that we can at least put out feelers. We aren't going to have to look long for replacements if we have to. Actually, if David Shaw wouldn't have just signed his extension, he would have been first on my list. We won't have to look as hard as we did when we got Saban though. Trust me that two coaches won't be turning down this job before we hire "our guy".
I also don't know what people really expected him to say to all the reporters when he lied to the Miami journalists. There were still two or three games left in their season when they began drilling him about it. You can't say that you are looking at other jobs to journalists when you still have a couple of regular season games in the NFL.
I don't remember exactly the circumstances of how he left LSU. I actually didn't think the LSU fans were real pissed about him trying the NFL. I thought you guys were just pissed that he came back to coach us two years later.
cj mosley is a beast. Getting him back equals another NC next year.
