Oh but they do, because god says.
One nation under God. Plenty of nations that are not. Go there.
My quote button is gone. I'm a sad panda.

never eaten there before, but I will now
See, God is punishing you.
Hell, if it's consensual, why the hell not? I don't get why people want to be all up in everyone elses' personal lives. And the sanctity of marriage line has never made sense to me, 'cause if someone else's marriage has any effect on your own, then it sounds like your marriage wasn't all that great to begin with. Plus, with the divorce rate the way it is, I think us straight folk are shatting all over sanctity anyway.
One nation under god was added to the pledge in 1954. If memory serves, someone please correct me if I am mistaken, the First Amendment and the Establishment Clause predate that change to the pledge of allegiance.
So, thanks, but no thanks I'll stay in the country defended by my grandfathers, uncles, father and my brother currently serves. If you have a problem with me exercising the rights afforded to me by the United States Constitution then I suggest you move because I'm not going anywhere.
So the word "God" is strictly Christian?
It seems it was a temporary punishment.
Is it still polygamy if you marry more than one dog?
Yes, if you are christian.
What were people saying about the slippery slope before interracial marriage was legalized? "If we let the blacks marry the whites, next thing you know, the men'll want to marry the men and the women'll want to marry the women!" Or was it animals? Polygamy? Marrying yourself?
Below is a multiple choice question related to this topic:
What will happen if gay marriage is legalized?
A.) A third World War will break out.
B.) Various plagues – locusts, frogs, etc. – will break out.
C.) Schools will begin teaching kids how to have gay sex.
D.) The terrorists will win.
E.) Gay people will get married.
Just shut up and make me delicious chicken sandwiches. I don't need any BS.
And some people in this thread make me very sad.
You forgot the zombie apocalypse.
Louis CK weighs in...
I love that guy....hilarious!!!
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
On the plus side, it would really make that show Wife Swap a lot more entertaining.
It's the same premise man. Nothing is wrong with me. It is in the bible almost literally word for word that marriage is between a man and women.
It's not hate at all. It's sticking by what Christians believe in. And its not like this was decided yesterday. It's been a belief of Christians from the start. Sure, i will agree that some people take it to the extreme and equate man/woman marriage to "we hate gays", but real Christians do not think that way.
America was founded on freedom of religion. Christianity has been around since the beginning of time. They have never wavered from the stance of marriage being between a man and a woman. Was their something wrong with the brain of all of America's founding fathers?
ECU grad, tOSU fan for life. Father since 1/12/13.
You just said 'America was founded on freedom of religion.'
So why can't gays who aren't of the Christian religion get married?
Do you think this should be the law of the land:
"If a man meets a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her ... He must marry the girl ... He can never divorce her as long as he lives" Deuteronomy 22:28-29
It's in the Bible. Literally word for word...
No, bestiality and homosexuality are NOT the same thing, not by any stretch of the imagination.
Guess what, chief? The bible doesn't dictate our laws so I don't care what the bible says about marriage. Know what that is? The First Amendment. Separation of Church and State. Your religion doesn't get to dictate the laws by which all Americans live.
And Christianity has been around since the beginning of time? Ohhhh really now??
And it's your right to not care what the bible says. But, since America is a democracy, each person has a voice. Each state has the right to either ban or approve gay marriage. How is that religion dictating anything? Each individual has the right to think what they want to think. Each individual has the right to protest as well. If that bothers you, then move to a place where you are told what to think and you get shot for protesting.
If i'm a Christian, and I think marriage is between a man and a woman, i could care less if you disagree with me. My point is, don't disagree with me and call me a bigot or hater of gay people. It has nothing to do with that.
And yes, it is in the bible just like the other item you brought up was. There are a lot of things in the bible I and other religions don't agree with. There are a lot of amendments i don't agree with. There are a lot of state laws I don't agree with. It is my right, the religions right and anybody's right (at least in America) to feel that way.
It is against the law to have sex missionary style in North Carolina. I don't agree with that....But if I did, it would be my right, and it doesn't mean that i'm a bigot against missionary bangers.
It's not hate, and uninformed people think it is b/c a minority of idiots who claim they are "real" Christians talk about hating gay people. The majority of Christians do not feel this way.
lol, thats funny dude
I meant God, but you got me good on that one.
Yes by God gay marriage IS wrong, God says so! If you have a problem with that then take it up with him! ya flippin hethens...
