Drinking Rogue's Dead Guy
Brother in law brought a case of SAM's White Christmas - not bad
Wife and sister-in-laws are drinking pomegranate martini's
Brother in law is crushing a case of coors light...telling funny hunting stories.
Big fan of Rogues Dead Guy Ale. Delicious beer IMO

Wife read your post - asked "what's that?"
Also have "yellow snow IPA" really good
How is that? I've never had it, I don't think it's available around my area.
Really good - it is an IPA
Here is the beer advocate rating
Ratings for Yellow Snow IPA; American IPA style beer brewed by Rogue Ales in Newport, OR. 563 opinions.
I'm a fan of IPAs. I know some people hate them, but I've always enjoyed the hell out of them. There's a few restaurants/alehouses around here that have a very large beer selections, I may have to see if I can track this down at one of them.
You can order from the main Rogue site if you are willing to pay S&H - you should have a distributor that could order it for you - imo
Good call on that too, I'll have to look into it.
Warming up with some Jack Single Barrel before church at 11:00.
Hahaha...somehow my secretary knew exactly what I wanted.
Niiiice, love myself some Single Barrel
Appreciate it - thanks
Got a bottle of the crown maple today and is easily some of the best stuff I've had
Yeah... you can tell it's essentially just crown with some kind of maple syrup mixed in, but it's damn good.
Christmas Day drink for me is, HaandBryggeriet Odin's Tipple. And I've got a couple Old Engine Oil Porters in the fridge as well. Dark beer day.
Ratings for Odin's Tipple; Russian Imperial Stout style beer brewed by HaandBryggeriet in Drammen, Norway. 206 opinions.
All-seeing instrument. Supreme perception. Omnifocal accumulator... Its gaze upon the blind. Information divinity by man designed.
One of the things I got my dad for Christmas was a 750 ml bottle of Rogue Imperial Pilsner. Really simple, a load of Pilsner malt and Rogue's own local hops with a Czech Pilsner yeast. Hopefully he enjoys it. Don't see many 9% pilsners around.
I love a big west coast IPA. Super hoppy with a dry finish, Green Flash West Coast IPA is one I've had a few of over the past month.

Crown Maple mixed with Virgil's Root Beer, and then just crown maple on the rocks.
Followed it with crown black, and after that had some jaeger.

C'mon fellas!! Apparently some of you on this board don't know that I own a restaurant/bar called HopsScotch in Jersey City. When it comes to beer and whiskeys, I'm the man to ask for the goods!!!
Here ya' go: Scotch-Peat Monster by Compass Box. Best scotch I ever had for big time peat fans. Also, his Hedonism took down some MAJOR awards the past couple years and as far as a blend goes, blows Johnny Blue out of the water.
Whiskey-Tap 357. Maple Rye Whiskey. Tastes and smells like French Toast! Shit is legit and is stronger than Jack Daniels!! (by 1 proof, I know, but girls woof it down and we all know what happens when girls drink whiskey!)
Merry Christmas all and here are some good beers for your Christmas cheer! Santa's Butt (dark porter), Delirium Noel (Belgian dark seasonal), LaChouffe N'Ice Chouffe (Belgian seasonal) , Schneider Aventinus (German Dopplebock Wheat) and Troegs Mad Elf (cherry belgian Quad) Enjoy and come see us soon at Hops Scotch!!!
Wish you all the best and any questions with beers, bourbons, scotches or whiskies, I'll be glad to help!!
Odin's is SOLID! I like North Coast a little bit better, but my fav brewer from Scandinavia is Mikkeller. He's the dogfish head of Europe.
Ya Odin's kind of hovers between a BSD and RIS it seems. The roastiness and bitterness is dialed back a little from something like Old Rasputin, but the beer is big and dark as hell.
Actually edit that, now that I'm drinking it, it might have just as much bitterness as OR. Saving the other half of the bottle for after dinner.
What's your opinion of Forty Creek's stuff? John Hall is supposed to be one of the better whisky guys in Canada.
