South Carolina ended the season 5th in the conference last year and worked Clemson. Clemson returned pretty much the same team this year except they got worse on the lines.
Can't see them suddenly being dominate in the conference.

Would lose to Bama, LSU, Ga, Gatas (if Mike G is healthy), and. SCAR(until proven otherwise). Though upsetting any of those except bama wouldn't surprise me.
Beat everyone else.
UF might not score 49, but they probably would hit the 300 yd rushing mark.
And I never said UF would beat Clemson.
I actually agree with CRgator1 as far as his point about Clemson running all those misdirection trick plays, moving the pocket, ext ext to disguise their weakness on the OL.
However, i think that same gameplan would work against a team like LSU. I think LSU has a great team but their deficiency on offense makes Clemson a tough matchup for them IMO.
But, we'll never know either way unless they play in a bowl game or something.
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or it may last a year. But eventually, it will subside. If i quit, however it will last forever.
You're implying it by saying UF would finish higher.
No, i never gave an order of finish. UF still is an unkown, imo. Improved, yes, but by how much is still to be determined.
In the east, I would have it:
With separation betwern UGA/USCe and everyone else
I refrained from posting when I first saw this thread. Glad I did.
You guys are great.
Really only four teams in the sec that im confident saying are better than Clemson
UF could be but i have to see more
I'd like to see Clemson play miss st, followed by uf or scar, then ut. Solid sec level of difficulty that would show where they stand. I'd put them at 6-8
(Ut, Clemson, miss st, )
I can agree with that.
Im not trying to bash Clemson to discredit what FSU did to them. FSU got "out gm planned," in the beginning. They definitely were not out-manned, imo.
Those 37 pts had just as much to do w/FSU having at least 4-5 scoring drives under 3 mins, as those 37 pts had to do with Clemson's offense being spectacular.
I still would love to know why the hell Clemson turned down playing in the SEC. I have an acquiantance (sp?) that really knows what he is talking about when it comes to the workings of the SEC and we wanted Clemson. Supposedly Clemson didn't want to come to the SEC. I have no idea why but I trust the guy that told me this. He actually told me that Mizzou would end up in the SEC a few weeks before I ever even thought it possible. I didn't believe it but here we are.
I can only do football in tiers until proven otherwise. I would lump Clemson in Tier 2 with the possibility of upsetting a Tier 1 school. They have an offensive coordinator that knows how to make his oline work. Their blocking scheme against FSU was designed to take into account the fact that they would be beat on the edge every play so instead of fight it they let it happen and moved the pocket accordingly. I think given a chance Morris could scheme against the best team to put up points at will. Now I have them beating USCe at the end of the year but I think in the SEC they would be equivalent to UF(possibly Tier 2), USCe. I put UGA in the Tier 1 for right now because I think they are just as good as LSU. I think LSU and FSU are pretty equal too with Bama possibly being the best team in the nation top to bottom. If Clemson was to upset FSU, LSU, or Bama in a game I wouldn't be surprised but I also would 9/10 pick those teams to win. Clemson vs UF, USCe would be a good game.
Walking up these hills you have no choice but to be fast!
I agree 100% with you.
I think USCe gets beat by Clemson because their defense is a little lacking and we don't know exactly if Connor Shaw will live up to his potential with his shoulder. I'm still not sold on UF's qb situation so that is why I personally put Clemson above them now that Watkins is back. I know what Boyd and Watkins can do.
That being said, I wouldn't be shocked if any of those three teams beat the other.

This and the SEC wanting Clemson confirms you don't know what the eff you're talking about.
"their defense is a little lacking and we don't know exactly if Connor Shaw will live up to his potential with his shoulder."
Defense is lacking? You have neither watched the cocks play this year nor did you watch the Clemson Carolina game last year.
Re: Connor Shaw, Clemson got worked by Stephen Garcia (twice), then Connor Shaw...I'm pretty sure Clemson couldn't stop a D Thompson or S Strickland led team, much less another Shaw led team.
Bottom line is the cocks are an improved team while Clemson is more of the same - a gimmicky (yet solid) offense, a TERRIBLE defense, a soft Batson conditioned team led by a cheerleader State Farm rep who is better at giving baptisms than sound coaching advice. Oh, and he bangs his mom...

We did want Clemson and without Melvin Ingram and the other two studs you lost last year just gives me pause. There really isn't a reason to get all shitty about it. I'm just saying that I trust their qb and Sammy Watkins because I've seen them do it.
Now Clowney has the potential to be better than all of the guys you lost on D from last year but I have to see it first. I would pick USCe over Clemson for sure if I knew that Connor Shaw was 100% healthy and Clowney starts jumping off the screen, but as of right now, I don't. I'm not a professional gambler or anything, I just watch football. I said that it would be pretty much a tossup between USCe, UF and Clemson and it wouldn't shock me if any of you beat the other.
You about lost to Vanderbilt so please shut the fvck up like you guys are unbeatable. Had it not been for a BS call you WOULD have lost to Vanderbilt.
Never said unbeatable, only pointed out why your call that clemson would beat the ccks was baseless. Don't care about Vandy.
Jut curious how you see the Cocks from this year and the fighting Dabos from this year and think that the teams are that drastically different from last year.
The cocks are better, bottom line. Not world beaters, but better. Clemson is still Clemson - inbred insurance selling towel rod toting toothless orange Deliverance actors.
I'm not predicting who would win out of USCe/Clemson. But this was funny.
Have you seen Clemson's defense?
Yeah they are horrible. South Carolina's offense hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire. Just saying that with Connor Shaw injured that I give Clemson the nod. I know what Boyd and Watkins can do.
I mean for fvcks sake, I'm just making a pick. It's not like I honestly give a shit. I'll care about USCe if we make it to the SEC championship game and they make it as well.
Clemson wasn't an option.
Clowney backed up Ingram, he is Ingram's replacement. To his left is a top 100/top 10 position DT from his recruiting class in Kelcy Quarles, a JUCO DT who's the strongest player ever in our program, and a top 2 round pick in Devin Taylor. The JUCO DT plays ahead of a top 100/top 10 position in his class DT who's a RS freshman.
Behind them is a top 100/top 10 athlete in his class at WLB in Damario Jeffery, a 3 year starter MLB, and top 250/top 10 OLB in his class playing our Spur spot in Devonte Holloman. Of the 2 true LB slots, there are 2 other seniors who've started or split time for 3 years that cycle in with them.
Not even going to bother with secondary. Not enough star rating for the layman.
Not to mention 3rd in total D last year and currently 3rd in the conference in total D. 5th in the country right now in scoring D, second in the conference.
I was just laughing, I know u were just having an honest discussion, no biggie.
Clemson has weapons, no denying that.
They could be a scary team next yr.
I'll bet you $200 that you don't win more than two games in the month of October. I predict that you go 1-3 in October. I suppose we will see who is dumb come November.
No one said you're dumb. I just said you don't know what you're talking about and you don't.
I bet you $1000 that Bama does not win the next 10 national championships.
