Lizards Thicket is country cooking - if you are spending the night that is definitely a good breakfast option also.
Simple little Italian & pizza place across the river from baseball stadium. Cant remember the name but good.
And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.

Never understood the fascination with Lizards Thicket.
it tastes like my maw maw made it. You can never beat that.
Pic Sigs are for losers.
Agree on lunch and dinner....to me its the breakfast that makes the place. Solid.

Let me rephrase that. I was stationed at Ft Jackson so the only part of the town I saw was the seedy area near the back gate.
I do have a project I've bid that has a portion of the project in Columbia. What do I need to know about the town?
What's the best pizza in Columbia, besides mellow mushroom? I'm getting sick of dominos/papa john's.
Hahaha yeah well ft jackson is def dirty. What kind of project? I am a civil engr in town.
Try village idiot in 5 points. Pops in 5 points is decent.
Logistics for the Army. In this case Ft Jackson
Is Pops that New York style place? And I always seem to almost get village and never do.
Yeah owner is straight new york funny to talk to him...big foldable slices like NY...but village has the best tasting pizza.
Biggest basic training in the US but yeah that place is a dump. Everything there built in WW2 or so! But dang when its on high alert it sure can eff up our interstates!
Go to Yesterdays. It's in the middle of 5 points. They have great food and it is unique. I'd say go to Doc's, but you said you don't like BBQ.
Another good option is Wild Hare in the vista. There food is good and you can walk from there to the game.
