I really hope this test isn't real.
Image shows a fourth-grade science test from a South Carolina school?
Sadly it is. Some school in Greenville, SC
From the test:
Q: The next time someone says to you that the earth is billions (or millions) of years old, what can you say?
A: Were you there?
Q: The next time someone says to you that Jesus was the son of god and died on a cross for your sings, what can you say?
A: Were you there?
GET OUTTA HERE JESUS. NOBODY ASKED YOU.
were you there?

Not the best comparison... Know anything about textual criticism?
So this is a private christian school and you guys are surprised? WTF do you think they're going to teach? They obviously take a literal interpretation of the Bible. Not sure what you would expect.
were you even there, bro?
I don't see the big deal?
The Parents obviously sent their kids to a CHRISTIAN school.
Just a bunch of God haters nowadays that want to take shots every chance they can.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
i think if the gubment can tell me that if my son misses too many days of school we can be brought to court for educational abuse, then truly abusing the word education, such as this, should be punished summarily.
SMH....that's the dumb version of Christian beliefs and the Bible. The version I believe makes more sense but a lot of folks don't understand it cause they are dumb and I am smart.
I dream of a day when chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned.
The big deal is that it's the child's education, not the parent's. If the parents want to believe lunacy like dinosaurs and people coexisting, that's their choice.
But they are also screwing up their kid's education and there is nothing the child can do about it.
Put it this way - if this was a muslim school that taught that suicide bombing was acceptable, you'd be up in arms right? While not understanding anything about science isn't as damaging as suicide bombing, it's the same general principle. Those kids have no control over the garbage they are being taught each day.
I guess it is a better answer than "God put dinosaur fossils all over to test your faith......dinosaurs never existed". I had a fellow student in college tell a group of us this in a study group for evolutionary biology. I never could understand why he took that class given his beliefs and the fact that it is not a required class.
I can't recall how all of these religion/faith threads always end. Anyone recall???
Kite should be along shortly.
