How is Derrick Henry recovering from his leg injury? Out of Kamara, Jones, and Tenpenny...who teams with Yeldon for the 1-2 punch?

Not sure about Henry, but Kenyan Drake was the 3rd string back at the end of the season and has added 15+ lbs of muscle. Also, don't forget about Jalston Fowler. He was the 3rd string bruiser before he was injured last year.
Edit: If the RB position can stay healthy then atleast 1-2 of the guys you named will redshirt.
IMO it's 1) Yeldon 2) Drake 3) Fowler or Henry 4) Henry or Fowler 5) Freshman and the rest redshirt

Thanks...I'm really looking forward to seeing Henry play in the future. I hope he heals soon.
Yeldon 1st, Drake 2nd, and Derrick/Tyren getting 3rd reps. We will someone squeeze Fowler in there as well when he's not blocking.
I don't see Fowler being much of a factor this season.
He's already back
Yeldon, Henry, and Drake
"Because Bama now sucks just like FSU used to suck when we were getting dominated by OU. Does it make sense now?"- Sliger (FSU Fan)
Whatever happened to Dee Hart? He was committed to us until Rich Rod got canned. And then I remember him having a hurt knee. What's his status these days
903 wins, 11 MNC/42 Big Ten titles, 3 Heisman's, Largest Stadium, Winged Helmets, The Game, Touch the Banner, The Victors @gfraley05
He has had 2 ACL tears, 1 on each knee. He is still a great return man, but i dont see him getting any PT at RB.
2/3. Drake or Henry
4. Tyren Jones
Fowler plays FB for rest of his career. Tenpenny redshirts, and Kamara plays at least on special teams
I thought it was the same knee...

God, give me patience today. If given strength I may beat someone to death.
Those of you that are basically writing Fowler off will soon be proven wrong. He wasnt given sympathy carries. He got them for a reason.
"Jalston was great for us as a FB/H-back role, and we need to keep him healthy to have this position" - Alabama coach
"He needs to get his weight down slightly as he gained 15-20 pounds of bad weight because of his injury. His injury was the worst of any that we have had in the past few years." - Same coach
I am not writing him off at all. I think he is a special back. He is just a perfect fit for the H-back. Great hands, runs with power, good blocking at the point of attack, quick feet, knows the system as good as anyone. It's a better use of his skills and this staff is scary good at utilizing a players talents and getting the most guys on the field in the right place. Look for him and mr Henry in the I formation short yardage. Nudie is a stud, no doubt
One thing for sure...guys that commit to you aren't afraid of competition. That's a helluva trait for a skill position.
Kamara could be used in a ton of ways. He's truly a "Percy Harvin" type player for us.
"Percy Harvin"...I vaguely remember that name.
Clearly you are not being recruited by Urban then, because if you were, you would think YOUR name was Percy....
This^^. Henry is fine. I see he and drake getting close to equal carries. Lots based on situations. A goal line package with fowler blocking for Henry would be nasty.
Key for a bama rb is to put in the work and wait your turn...good thing is your body is saved for the next level. It will be fun to see the offensive balance this year with our abundance of receivers to spread the field...gonna be fun.
Not a problem with that. It's a great reference IMO. I'm pretty sure that Coach Saban sells his positives to some degree also. Draft picks...rings...etc. Every coach has a cliche.
