KT has good grades, thats never been in question. He just dont sound too bright when he speaks, which you will pick up in this video. Classic south Florida ebonics
Glades Day's record breaking running back, Kelvin Taylor talks to ESPN 760 on the weekend of his collegiate announcement. Taylor will decide between Florida and Alabama.
How can you talk about admission standards? A few of my friends that couldn't get into UF, got stuck at FSU. UF's standards are definitely higher than FSU. Can you count to Potato?

The SEC compared to the ACC?
You might wanna abort the mission, my friend.
I said nothing about FSU, just that the SEC is notorious for letting kids in that can't get into many schools in america
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Exactly right, but I would say FSU is easier than most in the ACC
He just took that post way too personally lol, facts are the SEC is not very strict on football players.... its why they are the best conference in america.... there is no disputing these facts
Good grades = that were likely given to him
Is that different than most other big-time HS players? Not like any of these kids will have to work for them in college either.
He'll major in Fingerpainting and CBS will praise him for his "3.2" GPA.

No, Im just guessing as well
But reality tells me Kelvin Taylor had much of his life handed to him, if he played for anybody else I would have the same view on him
God given ability yes, but that was also given to him... I can't help but question the mental makeup of him being that so many that come from his kind of background are soft when put to the test
This is also isn't me trying to troll, Dundee will tell you that I have liked that other back you got a lot and think he has a chance to be better down the road.... Lane or whatever it was, not sure why I can't remember his name

Quote the coach.I don't know everything but I do know that you are making BS up.
Is this how the conversation went?
Golden: Quincy I want to offer you as a safety
Quincy: I'm a corner!!!!!!!
Golden: No offer for you then. When you decide you want to play safety,I will offer you. You might not pick us in the end but you have to tell me you want to play safety before I offer you.
D'onofrio is just a pawn. This is Al Golden's team and Al's defense. Al's the clown. Dorito's just the floppy shoes.
We'll see. Just think a lot of these kids develop some sort of entitlement...while Taylor's could come from his a rich father, some come from being the best player on every team they're on and being able to get away with murder. That and the fact these kids have the best coaches in the world drooling over them during the recruitment process. It's why there's a "de-recruitment" process at every school, where the week these guys get on campus they have a strength coach screaming at them telling them that they're pieces of shit.
With that said, the early reports on KT are pretty positive. Seems what he really got from his father was his work-ethic, specifically how much film to watch and what to look for. Barring Lane coming in and killing it, he'll be Jones's backup over Mack Brown, who after 4 years here still can't pick-up a playbook.
You guys want to talk about retards...
Kind of interested in how this works also...
Even at safety, though, I don't think it's unreasonable not to offer him yet. He's not a Top 3 safety in the state IMO, although MAYBE top 5.
Especially, Miami, who can probably afford to be a little late to the party with his father's ties and all...
Like someone pointed out earlier, the only way I could get behind taking him this early is as a foot in the door to the rest of his SFE teammates.
Yes but those kids you speak of, most of them earned that entitlement with hard work
Taylor was playing against some of the gayest competition in florida at Glades Day, why he didn't just play at Central boggles my mind but maybe since Hester left there have been problems down there and Pahokee seems to have dropped football.... who knows
Im just skeptical about Taylor, he might be damn good but lots of hurdles in his way imo.... one is that I think no matter what he does he won't be nothing like his father, Im of the age who saw Taylor live and in color.... and that dude was ridiculously awesome... lot to live up to and most Gators will be expecting that considering his 5 star rank
It's possible I suppose, and that might be true with his father and all.
The Gator fans on 247 at least have ignored his star ranking, though. I think we would concede a 5-star rating was bullshit, especially considering he wasn't even in the Top 3 or so of UF's board. We heard Lane was #1, at least prior to the broken leg, with Ryan Green and probably Alex Collins higher as well.
Lane is a boss imo
Dalvins younger bro committed to USF. One, brother at Miami, the other at USF and Cook to UCF.
This beef between OnMyLevel and Willie is heating up.
Not big 3 material.
No beef with me. He thinks reading the message board is the only way people get info, no way people who coach football can get info when meeting others at camps. He also doesn't understand coaches offer certain kids to play specific positions. I'm done with this.
So you agree AG doesn't need to offer him a scolly at CB just to get him on the team?
Won't believe unless an ITU non-insider like Stock or Lake can quote it. Not worth the hassle just know his father and his ego is holding an offer back.
I agree with you I'm tired of Quincy Wilson and these University kids, last yr it was Skai Moore.
I don't know. I don't know why you don't just give him the opportunity to fail at CB first. Recruit him at CB, give him a crack there, and once a couple practices go by and and your 3rd team WR's are blowing past him, move him to safety.
In general, I think people get a little too wrapped up pigeon-holing kids into positions. Coaches obviously have a plan for kids while recruiting them, but I think they also know bodies change and needs change.
I don't think it's a terrible idea to get a big, athletic DB in the fold in Wilson and figure it out later. Maybe he sticks at CB, maybe he moves to safety, or, hell, maybe he explodes into a OLB.
