Romney was very linear in his answers and Obama meandered aimlessly a lot. Obama owned the last 15 minutes though I thought. I honestly think tonight was maybe 52-48 Mitt.
Obama bashed Romney for supporting Bush on the war in Iraq and looking for WMD's - funny that Obama had no issue appointing Hillary Clinton who also voted to go to war with Iraq and search for WMD's.....
Romney pretty much agreed with Obama's policies the entire debate. If it went another 20 minutes, Romney might have endorsed him.
The closest poll is CNN's (which is +8% Republican v. the general electorate) at 48-40 Obama.
Obama is still the heavy favorite to win the election, because the popular vote doesn't matter. Romney may win the popular vote and lose the election.
"I know you haven't been in a position to actually execute foreign policy. But, every time you offered an opinion, you been wrong."
Foreign Policy Debate goes to the President.
Just shows you how stupid majority of the voters are
I hate Romney and could never vote for him. I don't even like Obama, but I could never, never vote for Romney's sorry ass.
You're voting for Romney and calling the majority, who in the scenario you quoted would be supporting Romney, stupid? Doesn't make much sense.
Because he's white??
Vote Romney 2012
If it were two white men running against each other the majority of blacks wouldn't vote. Might sound racist, but it is true
The majority in the hypothetical I wrote about would be the people voting for Romney, hence him winning popular vote. You just called yourself stupid. Assuming that's who you're voting for
Didn't see your post
I like Obama but I gotta agree here. Can't stand Romney.
If you are going to quote Van Jones verbatim then you should site him. Or are you Van Jones, if so disregard this post.
I'm going with you. I didn't see it but you seem to call that last two I was on here very fair
No because he has the audacity to even say he's from Detroit. That's why I hate him. He grew up in a rich nice neighborhood of West Bloomfield. But several times during his campaign he's made reference to him being from Detroit. That pisses me off. While he was snug in his nice little house in West Bloomfield, "Being from Detroit", my family was actually living in the heart of Detroit, during the worst riots this country has ever seen. My grandfather (a silver and bronze star recipient) was a cop in Detroit, and didn't have a racist bone in his body, but nonetheless he spent a week on call, and my uncle had to watch over the house with a shotgun to make sure it wasn't firebombed. That's what Detroit was in the 60s, and eventually later one their house was set on fire. Thankfully everyone survived. My point is I can't even resist spitting in the face of someone who claims that shit, let alone vote for them to be President.
Then he can follow Al Gore's career path: get fat and write a book about global warming.
Don't forget that if Romney had his way, the American auto industry would be dead in the water and countless Michigan jobs would've disappeared overnight.
Don't get me started on the auto industry and the countless jobs lost because of dumb people's f*ck ups, costing folks in my family jobs. Everyone wants to shit on Detroit and no one knows what it is like to come from there, and come from a third world country within a first world Nation.

Obama's point about that tonight has been proven incorrect. He didn't want to give them 80 billion dollars, but he had said he would give support to insure that they stayed in business.
Ive looked in 3 different places and they all come to this same conclusion. Here's a link to one of them.
Yeah, no one has proved me incorrect, and how this asshole has used a city to gain favor.
You aren't going to convince them...don't waste your time.
Just like with Romney's education deal in Mass....that was established when Mitt was governor. Obama was wrong again
Convince me? That asshole used an entire city that needs help for his own political benefit when he isn't even from there. F*ck Romney.
His point isn't that he had it rough. He understands the auto industry and how to run them. He wouldn't be where he is now without his dad being an executive in the auto industry. The auto industry has given him his huge advantages in life and he understands how important it is to the area. At no point did he say he grew up in the ghetto slinging crack and pressing bumpers to earn a living. I don't understand how he is using the city.
