I like the civil discussions that can go on in these types of threads. I learn a lot on issues with them. When posters start taking it personal is when it goes down quickly.
So your logic is eff the system and just enter another country illegally, because it is easier?
There are other countries that kill people for that, yet we give them free healthcare, home loans, and car loans, and don't even make them speak the language when they come across illegally.
Guess what it wasn't a birth right to be able to live in the USA, another problem I have is when they do come across illegally they continue to proclaim how they are proud Mexicans and how much they love Mexico yet they got the eff out. If you come to America to make a life for yourself then you better adopt America as your country and adopt the language as well.
I actually had a guy come in to apply for a job that asked me to speak spanish for him. I laughed at him and told him to find a job somewhere else, if someone doesn't want to put forth the effort to even learn the language then I won't put forth the effort to give a shit if they get deported back to Mexico.
Sorry if that sounds harsh to you libs, but we have laws in this country and as a tax payer I expect them to be upheld.
You're forgetting the other rules of citizenship..maybe it's because I was in 7th grade 11 years ago and it was significantly longer for you =P
Anyway, they would be citizens because you are.
The ONLY people that would affect would be people who aren't citizens and have children here. Even if an American citizen has a kid in another country that kid can have dual citizenship or be an American citizen.
I honestly did not know anything about the rules of citizenship lol. Well in that case, I agree with you.

What about this?
Agustin Portillo checks the oil in his wife’s car, stores her luggage in her trunk and then drives her from his tiny apartment in Tijuana to the United States border entry port. It’s not a long
What do we do with the illegal immigrant who are here after the borders are closed? And how do we find them? IYO.
Simply put, they don't have to. And they shouldn't have to. Polish people, Irish people, etc. they didn't immediately assimilate, they made their own neighborhoods and kept their own customs.
Eventually their children will assimilate but until then we have no right to force them to and only people's fear of other cultures and the belief that because they cling to their own culture means they are rejecting American culture would make anyone want to coerce assimilation.
I'm going to repost my quote. Please show me where I said they didn't swear at me.
"The question wasn't directed toward me, but I'll answer. I work in health care, and once a month my office holds a free clinic for people who don't have health insurance/can't afford care (and aren't living off Medicaid). It's basic care, and the immigrants (some legal, most illegal) who I've come into direct contact with have been nothing but respectful and grateful for the service we provide. And every, every family that I've been able to help provide services to has been hardworking and willing to do whatever it takes to continue working, even if it's non-benefited, under-the-table work. "
Being respectful ≠ not swearing.
How would the government go about this? Go to every single employer in the country and demand proof of citizenship from all of its employees?
Look, I can play too.
A 29-year-old Howell man accused of killing a Mount Arlington police officer in an October car crash pleaded not guilty at his arraignment today on charges of aggravated manslaughter and vehicular homicide
That should be a requirement for jobs anyway...
You really must be a moron. I don't know how to make my post any clearer. No offense, of course.
I don't know, the fact that we believe every human has basic rights? The fact they illegally immigrated doesn't effect their basic human rights.
And if part of their culture is to be catholic, speak spanish, etc. then they have every right to practice it.
If you say otherwise you pretty much have to go against the beliefs this country was founded on.
They already require the I-9 and e-verify
USCIS - E-Verify
I like you You'll never change the way some people think though.
I know I jsut posted in this very thread not to take this personally and not to use personal attacks...
But for real though, Kite. Tell me how hard my previous posts were to understand. I'll rescind my comment if you agree.
Honestly I was done with this thread on page 3. I'm sure your posts aren't hard to figure out. I know my warning post wasn't hard to understand. I could call you a moron for not understanding it or ignoring it.
If you move to another country illegally you don't have any right to complain about what you are forced to do. If you or myself move to Mexico or Italy or France we would be expected to immediately know the language, know the laws, know the culture, and abide by them and if we didn't we wouldn't make it. In America(at least Texas) we require schools to teach Spanish which is absurd.
I have met many immigrants from the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Australia that all came to America legally and once they got their citizenship proclaimed themselves Americans, living in Texas my entire life I have also met or am friends with many Mexicans, it is interesting to see the difference from legal immigrant Mexicans and illegal immigrant Mexicans. The ones that are legal consider themselves Americans and never want to go back to Mexico and understand that America has made their lives and their families lives better. The illegal immigrants consider themselves Mexicans that go back every few years and then hop back across the border when they want to come make some more money to send back to Mexico and they never want to be apart of the American culture.
You seem to live in a kumbaya kind of world, and think all illegals are here doing the right thing and just trying to better their lives. Reality is they are jumping back and forth across the border when they want and are just here for a paycheck and yes even breaking laws while here(besides breaking the law of coming over illegally)
I'm just used to ignoring you, sorry.
That's a great blanket statement. So you know every illegal immigrant in the US, then?
Are you trying to say only an illegal would drink and drive?
I thought that also. While visiting my wifes family in McAllen though, they hate the illegal immigrants. They hate the crime that comes with it. There breaking a law being there, why would they care about any other laws.
I was surprised by what they had to say about it.
Yeah I get the feeling you have a LOT of company in that regard.
The government doesn't require e-verify it is a voluntary program that businesses can take part in, and all an I-9 check is is to make sure they have two forms of ID. Also companies can't ask for what two forms of ID is presented.
Since people that work at your run of the mill business are not document experts they can't tell someone their ID is fake, so all an illegal immigrant needs to do is go get a fake Alien ID card which they can then take to their local Social Security Administration and get a real SS card because our own government doesn't take part in e-verify to ensure the Alien ID # they are giving is real or not.
The government could help put a stop to illegal immigration if they really wanted to, but there is too much money being funneled into social security by illegals that will never use the funds.
