But Tedy Bruschi is being inducted.
DT will eventually get in. I don't understand why people care how soon.
Why eventually? What argument could anybody make for Bruschi over Thomas?
No argument can be made but its the nature of all HOF inductees. The system is retarded and really, no HOF can tell me who is and isn't deserving. DT is a college football HOF'er regardless if he ever makes it in or not.
I am glad someone posted this. I would really like non-Bama fans' opinions on this, especially those old enough to see him play in college? I know I have crimson colored glasses when it come to many things UA and DT is definitely one of them. With that being said, IMHO DT is arguably the best OLB to ever play CFB from a pass-rush standpoint. His sack numbers came at a time when the average team threw the ball XX as compared to 33 pass attempts per game in 2012. I can't find the XX right now, but I would venture to guess that is was 25 or less (anyone help here???).
Carreer Sack Total in CFB: 52 (at the time career record)
Senior Year Sack Total: 27 (FBS single season record), won the Butkus that year and finished 10th for the Heisman
If you were drafting an all-time CFB team, I cannot think of anyone that I would pick over DT for my 3-4 Rush OLB/weakside DE based on their college game. Again I know I am biased in this regard, so I would love non-Bama opinions.

I honestly can't tell you why he isn't in the CFBHOF. Probably one of the 10 best players defensive players I have even seen play in college.
Did he play 3 or 4 years in college? The college HOF tends to biased towards 4 year players and other bull shit like academics.
pretty sure he was a 3 year guy. He was a top 5 pick in the 1989 draft.
4 year guy, he was a Sr in 1988
Nothing against anybody else, but DT was one the best all time at any position. Surely he will get in next year.
Exactly. Until they build a Hall of Derrick, everything else is beneath him.
DT was great, pure and simple. He deserved HOF on his first year eligible for it. No rational fan of any team will tell you any different.
Huddles are for rookies.
Erk Russell deserves to be in the hall of fame, but due to not being a head coach long enough (1 year) he isn't in. Yeah it stinks regarding Thomas, but at least he will make it into the hall as he deserves. I doubt one of the best coaches I have seen in my lifetime Erk will ever be in the hall of fame.
Johnny Dwight commits to Bama on 6/4/13 ranked the 44th DT in the nation by 247sports and 87 rating a 3 star. Now see the Bama bump.
