Smart move by Texas to decide not to play them anymore and save face. Losing to OU by 42 is bad enough. Imagine how bad it would have been against aTm seeing as they drilled OU. Texas just needs to get past TCU and prove they can consistantly beat Baylor. Then they should be just fine with aTm's leftovers from Texas.....well after the rest of the SEC and the B1G get what they want as well.
Is that why we are seeing so many 3*s going to Texas now? I guess you have to find your niche.

I honestly do, they have all the momentum right plus their stadium renovations...
Also being in the SEC helps to.
Once Mack Brown is gone and some new life is brought into the Texas program they will once again run the state.
Quite possibly the weakest and most pathetic troll attempt I've seen in a long time. OP should be embarrassed. But seeing as its another SEC ass sucker, it probably isn't.
During the SWC years the conference was so weak we routinely saw top talent head out of state for better opportunities. I think that is what is happening to the Big 12 now. Nobody really wants to play in that crappy conference so prospects are headed better places. Fortunately we are in those better places.
I don't know. Mack Brown is the only coach Texas has had since the 70s that actually had Texas on top in the state to begin with.
From 1980-2000, Texas A&M was the top team in the state with a 172-77-3 record compared to Texas at 156-89-4. Texas A&M was also 13-8 against Texas during that period as well. A&M also led in conference championships during that time 7-5.
Mack was the one that turned things around.
So pathetic you had to post, huh?
Don't look at the facts though. They might scare you.
Texas is the better program and is arguably the best job in college football. They will get a big time coach and be competing for championships again.
They will probably promote Major Applewhite to head coach. Hardly a big time coach.
Applewhite is a disaster.
LOL at UT if Major Applewhite is promoted to HC. No way that ever happens IMO.
It's more likely than you realize, especially if Dodds is still the AD.
I doubt that you'd know a fact if it bit you in the ass. Still a sad troll attempt. Step your game up or just quit trying.
I wouldn't doubt it. They were going with someone on staff already before something better came along. Plus they save face by not getting turned down by coaches that dont want to be overshadowed by aTm, TCU, and OU.
Read my 2nd post ITT. Those are facts, right?
I suggest learning to read before taking on the internet. You'll get farther that way.
And exactly how would you know? Please explain. You are obviously so "in the know" about your big brother, explain it to everyone else.
Those are skewed facts. The majority of the aggie wins came under the Jackie Sherrill "FedEx Era". Rampant cheating and paid players (obvious precursor to today's SEC). Believe what you want. Texas is aggies big brother. Always has been, always will be. Nothing will change that. It's just like Bama being Auburns big brother. The little brother will get the best of them from time to time, but all things will eventually return to normal.
Not unreasonable to say he would screw up the football hire. He's screwed up the entire conference.
Oh yes, A&M was "cheating."
I guess you like to pretend Texas never paid players or gave illegal benefits.

Well I guess things won't be normal in Texas for a while.
Did I ever say that? Honestly, at the time everyone was reportedly doing it. Aggie apparently just did it better (but never good enough to win a NC). Sad that you boys had too fire his sorry ass to avoid the first ever death penalty, otherwise, things may actually be different than they are now.
You're still reaching dude. You know it and I know it.
How about waiting to see if you're new favorite aggie team can do something decent in consecutive years for a change. Hasn't happened in a looooong time. You SEC boys love to skirt ride.
We are the top team in the state in the best conference in the country. We just announced plans for our $450 million dollar stadium, one of the nicest and biggest in college football. The conference just announced a television deal that will assure it remains the premiere conference for a long long time.
Not sure I want it any different right now.
As a third party I'd say that if Texas moves on from Mack after 2013 they will regain control quite quickly. If they give Mack through 2014 then TAMU will have a boot on their throat and it will be far more difficult.
Yet your football team still hasn't accomplished shit. No NC's, no conference titles in forever and still finishing middle of the pack (at best) in whatever conference you are in.
You love to slam Texas and the Big12 conference, but you could never win it.
