Where's your evidence aliens exist? proof?
This post was edited by jmsmooth33 16 months ago
Again, it's a belief based on science / mathematics.
In other words, it's reasonable to believe that there's "alien" life in a universe with an infinite number planets/stars.
It's unreasonable to believe that a zombie who is his own father (and a ghost btw) controls everyone's lives and will send those who don't "believe" in him to a lake of fire for all of eternity.
But hey, that's just me.

Absolutely. Ever seen the Hubble deep space pic?
I really don't know how religion of any sort is some sort of deterrent for the belief in alien life. Again, I'm a believer, and yet I also believe in the presence of alien life. What about religion makes you think there isn't? Because it's not in the Bible? The Bible isn't meant to be a play-by-play retelling of everything in history, both on Earth and in the Universe. Holy sh!t, man, do you know how long it would be if it included EVERYTHING? The Bible includes historical (obviously up to you whether you believe or not) references to events related to the teachings It is trying to convey. People always bring up the fact that dinosaurs aren't mentioned in the Bible. My question always is, "Why would they be?"
There is actually a UFO sighting in the bible. Look up Ezekiel's wheel.
It would be a mathematical anomaly if some sort of basic single cell organisms didn't exist somewhere. I understand the "where's the proof" argument but let's not forget almost all 'space discoveries' are proven through theory and mathematics long before we find the actual proof.(ie black holes)
I understand what you are saying but IMO it is just us putting ourselves and life in general on a pedestal. I think because life is so important to us we think it has to be somewhere else but that is not necessarily the case. That being said I think there is just as good a chance of there being other life as there is not somewhere else.
The chances that there is an estimated 8.7 million different living species on earth, yet no life on the remaining estimated " ten thousand billion billion" habitable planets in the universe are infinitely small IMO

“If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.” ― Haruki Murakami
Yes, I get abducted by one several times a month.
We are so tiny in the grand scheme of the universe. We are a grain of sand in a desert. I know that is hard to wrap your mind around, but its true.
Thanks for the link. Dang. Space is confusing.

And I bet you also see Jesus every Sunday in church, too.
It's something that is important to know, but depressing to think about.
I think it's pretty badass to think about personally.
I know, it sucks. We as human beings think we are the center of the universe, and that cannot be further from the truth.
