Just curious as to what others believe.

Didn't see that coming.
still don't know why he couldn't let the vampires live in peace.
Not saying he wasn't a good president, but he's definitely the most overrated (with Reagan and FDR being close 2nd and 3rd).
FDR got us through the depression. Not gonna start on Lincoln. You mad about the slavery thing still bro?
Slavery is as inhumane as it gets. My problem with Lincoln is that he wiped his ass with the constitution. FDR didn't get us through the depression. He was the president when the depression was over. While this will drive the libs crazy, an argument can be made that his policies lengthened the depression.
WW2 is what got us out of the depression. FDR just connected really well to people who were looking for hope. Lincoln didn't give a damn about slavery lol The only reason he issued the amincipation proclimation was to save the Union, and to keep foriegn nations from aiding the confederacy. It was just a tool he used to save the Union. LOL at people who think he cared about slaves. He seriously wanted to ship them back to Africa.
But he acted to end it, so kudos to him. Bush was a terrible president that couldn't get us out of war but his national deficit wasn't as high as Obama so he is deemed better. And he was republican.
People with a Brain don't think Bush was better than Obama.
George W had no business being president... In saying that, he didn't cripple this country near as badly as Obama has. W was a good America. Obama is a good public speaker.
Both are terrible.. with Obama being the worse. (just look at the numbers)
**Full Disclosure** I am a Libertarian. Obama is the worst President post Reconstruction. Followed by Carter and Bush. There are many reasons for this, so many that I am not going to go into depth on a football message board.
As for Lincoln, he did what he believed necessary to save the Union. See the thing about Tyrants, is that they can be good. It’s when you get a bad one that all goes to shit. A philosopher King is not an entirely bad way to go if you could assume each to be a virtuous and just person. Problem with that is obviously, MAN IS CORRUPT and cannot be trusted. The three Presidents who shit on the constitution the most where he, FDR and Wilson. Obama is quickly inching his way into that top 3 (if he’s not already there).
In some ways yes. He was a "virtuous dictator" of sorts.
He installed military law in places like Baltimore, suspended the writ of habeus corpus, and engaged in all sorts of nefarious and/or shadowy activity. But he did it for a reason - to save the country. I believe if he had survived his assassination he would have restored normal order and would have given up all of his emergency powers. Still, what he did was dictatorial in a lot of respects.
The only reason you think Obama is the worst president ever is he's president right now and you don't like him. Let's cut the sanctimonious bullshit about kings and tyrants.
Oh boy... Here we go again. Teo'ing with your arms wrapped around a fake govt debt crisis. And why did WWII get us out of the Great Depression? ... Because it ran up debt to GDP to 125% and allowed the private sector to deleverage from the real debt crisis.
Not at all. Obama is a flat out piece of shit. No way around that.
Or It could be for doubling the deficit in only 4 yrs, completely disregarding the constitution, ruining small business America, constantly rewarding laziness while penalizing hard work, etc
I'm sure you'll have no trouble at all providing tons of legitimate reasons for why Obama is a "flat out piece of ."
I'd love to hear them.
George Bush hates black people. Obama is a Muslim. Miami is getting the death penalty.
Now can we get back on topic. Tyrant or not ? (CMXI & others feel free to chime in)
Which part ? (I don't feel the need to link some of that)
No, he did what he had to do to protect the Union. Shame he died before we could see what he would have done with a peaceful country
He was a president who, when faced with very desperate times, took very strong action in response. Yeah, a lot of the things he did were on the fringes of legality and highly questionable. But I wouldn't call him a "tyrant." Remember, for most of his presidency, he was constantly looking over his shoulder because of his upcoming reelection bid (he faced a very strong challenge within his own party before the general election too). It's hard to call a democratically elected (and then reelected) leader a tyrant... but yeah, he wasn't afraid to push the bounds.
Thank you. +1
