I think you're confused with the Arabic version of Al Jazeera.
This post was edited by abs_da_don 20 months ago
Do you honestly believe the bias doesn't bleed over?
No... I've been watching Al Jazeera English for about 2 years and I've never seen any anti American sentiment.
Believe what you want to man.
Just because it may not be obvious it's still there. Naturally they won't be as obvious on their English channel as their Arabic channel. but it's still there. It's the same people running it.
IDK. Probably because spreading the message is more important to them than ratings. I would be willing to bet that much of their revenue does not come from advertisement.
Look they aren't going to be anti-American on one channel and then turn around and be neutral toward America on another, it's foolish to think that. Again it may not be obvious but I assure you that the anti-Americanism is in their English reporting however subtle it may be. Common sense man...common sense.
I watch it for lockup
Just went to their website...not a single ad on their homepage, so obviously you are wrong. Al Jazeera is more BBC than FOX or CNN.
Tell me what you are wanting me to read out of that, lol. I am not reading the whole thing I have homework to do. Tell me specifically what you want me to read in there and I will read it.
NPR is radically left. They can't claim to be unbiased when every single personality on their station is a liberal...every single one. I listen every morning and it's more than obvious how they lean. They have good presentation though. A bunch of liberals politely being liberal does not make an unbiased news source.
BBC is left leaning too, but so is the country they originate from, I believe the BBC probably makes the biggest attempt at being unbiased of any broadcaster in the world. However since they broadcast from a very left leaning country, for the most part, their view of what is and isn't biased is rather skewed. But they are very good.
What I said about the BBC is also true in a way for CNN. CNN is a network full of liberals in every aspect of the company. While I believe that for the most part they do try to be unbiased, usually anyway, if everybody in the building has the same world view their idea of what constitutes bias will be skewed. But I also think they intentionally lean left at times, in this regard they usually do so by the omission of certain stories or facts. Like waiting months before reporting about fast and furious.
I have more respect for both FOX and MSNBC because they are at least honest about what they are. FOX's slogan notwithstanding.
I watch Red Eye on fox news and love it!
I'm a republican and I think that most of fox news' commentators are racist. So what?
I'm fully aware of this, but if a right wing commentator or politician labeled entire races/nationalities that make up 20% of the world population as inherently discriminatory you'd be leading the charge on this board to point out that person's politically incorrect generalization. You can deny it all you want, but it'd be the first thing you posted as soon as it hit the headlines.
Fox is the only source of fair and balanced reporting.
Chris Matthews is such a raging faggot.
Yeah you would. BTW what part of that document did you want to point out to me?
Ha. You bring your liberal, left wing agenda into every thread.
Maybe once you graduate from college, you will see the light.
I enjoy 'Standup with Pete Dominic', on Sirius radio. He has some of the best guests both right and left leaning. Pete himself appears to be a little left leaning.
All of the major media networks sure seem to have their own agendas. They have sacrificed journalistic integrity for ratings and A-N-Y-THING is news these days. It is one of several reasons why I do not watch much television (although I will watch football).
With all of that said, given what I do, I know that the Executive branch controls 90% of U.S. media---especially during election years. You see what they want you to see. These stations are hand to mouth with whatever the Exec Branch wants them to say.
I watch Foxnews and CNN to stay even keel and yes when I turn to MSNBC they seem like fools. I throw my controller at the TV with Fox a good bit but agree with their stances the most often. I am NOT republican but can easily be categorized as such
Not saying shows like beck and hannity are, just the actual news they report. I think we can all agree on that.
I don't watch network news at all anymore. Besides, it's football season now.
