I won't care. I'd much rather lose to a Blue Blood than one of these other Johnny Come latelys. This NC game will be epic. Can Saban do what the Bear never could on te biggest stage? The build up will be huge.
lolz at the idea you won't care about losing the national title
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Lolz at you not believing me.
I would love to win. But if we go down, it was still a hell of a year. Everyone said ND will never sniff a NC again & we now know that is untrue. I'm just happy to as a fan to be here. Hope we win, but if not, it's not the end of the world.
lol at you thinking I don't believe you
Since neither cares if they win how bout we just give it to Miami? OK? deal.
Since Notre Dame has done absolutely nothing in the last 24 years(1988 national championship win vs. WVU), I would say they are a Johnny come lately. 7-11 since 1988 in bowl games. 1-5 in BCS games. I know the BCS didn't exist until 1998, but I counted the Orange, Fiesta, and Sugar Bowl appearances since 1988. 15-16 all time in bowl games.
If you don't mind losing to that, I say Alabama needs to up their standards a little bit.
Mountie, your boys did not belong in that bowl game in 88. You were highly over matched & out classed. WVU fans always say, that if Major Harris didn't get hurt the outcome would be different. No it wouldn't. That poor guy had no time to throw at all & probably still has nightmares of that night. Never seen a guy take that bad of a beating.
I was only 3 at the time, so I can't comment on that game.
I was only 8. But I have watched it on VHS like 500 times lol.
Notre Dame is a blue blood. It doesn't matter what their record was since 1988. Before 2009, Alabama hadnt won a national title since 1992. Things change quickly in college football. Notre Dame is #1 in the country, the Blueist of Bluebloods and a great team in the year of our lord, 2012.

Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
