Anyway, spelling and grammar on message boards, hardly indicate intelligence, I received an e-mail a while back from a brilliant surgeon that used "illicit" instead of the intended "elicit" lol.

yes because I clearly post like that.. has muchoooo relevancy to people not being able to distinguish the difference between the contraction of could've (contraction for have) and could of (nothing).

You know, for those of us that are 22+ (out of college and beyond I mean), I think you're right. But I really do think the Internet coupled with "text speak" thanks to cell phones is encouraging shoddy English amongst younger generations. I wouldn't be surprised to see "u" officially replace "you" in 10 years.
