Give Dabo a speeding ticket for 28 mph over...get fired.
Even if it's true, I would think it had more to do with him posting the incident on a message board than him giving Dabo a ticket.

Are you insinuating that Shady things go down in Clemson, South Carolina?
so the officer is a Carolina fan?
3 time POTW, member since 2006, MLWTI: 4-3
Yes. He must have been tailing Dabo, looking for a violation.
Probably cranked his radar gun up too.
The officer also got on TBS and bragged about giving the ticket and the details of the ticket.
So ,he was speeding right?
Without self-knowledge there is no individuality
sounds more like it
He was but he was also given permission by his superior. I do feel that it was a poor decision but not worth firing. Instead, this is just the cop out for terminating the officer, no pun intended. Now when Dabo shows up to court the officer will not be present. Classic Clemson.
This is not The Syvelle Newton, just his number one fan!
I'm no attorney, but discussing a pending legal matter is probably not ethical.
And I seriously doubt he had his superiors permission. How does that conversation go anyhow?
"Sir, I would really like to go tell my buddies from the internet about giving Dabo a ticket".
"No problem, son".
Due to all of the false claims and accusations of wrong doing, he wanted to clear his name and integrity. Being a Clemson fan you know all about high moral character and integrity so you can understand I'm sure. And regardless, Dabo is the victim now, hahaha classic

If you think he got on TBS to clear up the rumors, you would be an idiot. He got on there to brag about giving Dabo a ticket.
Again, I seriously doubt his superior gave him permission to post on a message board to clear up rumors. Think about how stupid that sounds.
Maybe Dabo will start an offering plate at his church to raise money for the victim(cop) and his family.
apparently its all public recording and available under FOIA so I don't know if that holds water or not...but...
(I thought that was a real dumbass thing to do also)
I think that's just for attorneys.
This. The entire situation is public record. I read the article on TBS, and without a dog in the fight, I didn't feel that he was bragging about the situation. He simply explained what had happened (all of which was videoed, by the way) and how CDS responded and acted. Heck, CDS essentially pulled the 'Don't you know who I am card' and his brother tried to get the officer to cut him some slack since he was a former officer himself. According to the officer, he reduced the the speed but still wrote Dabo a ticket. The cop did his job. Just turns out he's a SCU fan and made a poor judgement to post about it. Dumb, sure. Terminable offense, no.
I'd be shocked if a Pickens County cop didn't get fired for giving Dabo a ticket.
South Carolina Gamecocks. The 2010 National College Baseball Champs.
Not quite as stupid as baptizing a player in full pads, during practice, in some sort of makeshift baptismal pool, for all the media to see, as a recruiting stunt.
can't control when the spirit of the Lord gets ya iyam
And I'm done here, but if you think this officer got fired for anything other than pulling over Dabo, youre an idiot.
D@mn! Dabo got Tony Soprano clout.
it happens man
