Saints run way more than you think.. Have a great OL too.. The Saints have been top 5 in rushing a few times in the past 5-6 years. Too many excuses for Ingram by blaming it on the Saints O.. RB's don't have to run against 8 man fronts playing in the Saints offense.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Saints also split carries between 4 RBs.
Ingram has always gotten better the more he gets the ball. You can still see his potential but he's in a crowded backfield.
I think he'd be better off in 2 back system than a 4 back system.
Hell send him to Dallas. I'll take him and Murray as a 1-2 punch
Lol, he wouldn't do ishh behind that OL.
Which is why we're drafting OL and DL with our first 3 picks or Jerry is gonna get a not so friendly visit from Ichabod
Side note: Whats this rumor I've heard from multiple sites on Les?
I'm calling bullshit
there is a reason they split carries between 4 guys
Waste a roster spot on 4 running backs when you could improve your defense
Makes a ton of sense
Jerry is dumb enough to do that. How bout dem cowboys.

You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
1st round Rbs are the biggest waste of a pick lol my team picked Alfred Morris 5rds after Richardson and he never missed a game unlike Ricardson
2*>>>>Big 5* SEC stud
well kind of defeats the purpose of saying RBs are worth 1st round picks if you list a bunch of successful ones who weren't 1st rounders.
He's dumb enough to hire Dooley....
Btw Foster went undrafted.... No way in hell would I ever draft a running back in the first with all these pass happy offenses.
And Ray Rice was a 2nd rd pick and Foster was an udrafted FA.
i thought Ingram was a 2nd round guy at best.
I'm sorry. Montee Ball is the surest RB the NFL has seen since Adrian Peterson. He does not have elite measurables, but the man does not fumble, has Hall of Fame type cutting ability and just is a horse. That kid is going to be in the league a long time, and he is going to be stolen because he does not have the top of the line measureables. I sure as hell hope the Packers draft him.
too slow for the league. im hoping not because i like the kid but he just doesnt look like hes quick enough to get it done
FSU Ambassador to the masses
He's not fast but he's plenty quick. He is about the same speed as Emmit Smith or Alfred Morris. And his lateral quickness is already at a hall of fame level. Same people dismissing Ball this year were dismissing Russell Wilson for the same reasons.
The goal now with the new rookie deal will be to draft a RB and wear him out before you have to pay him his second contract. Then find the next back in the draft 4 years later. People paying RBs big time money are dumb. AP Is good but 100 million? Really? If there was ever going to be an exception to the rule it'd be him but I just don't see the value in that.
Draft a young guy. Use his talent on the cheap for 4 years and then it's on to the next one.
Teein' Off on Links
In todays NFL... You need your RB to have some speed and to be a very good pass catcher.. You can't have an average speed RB that doesn't catch the ball out of the backfield.
That's why guys like CJ Spiller are so good and important.. Fast and can turn a screen pass into a long TD.

Unless you have an AP type RB, I would not draft a RB in first round. These days, you need 3 to 4 reliable backs and especially ones who can pass block/read blitzes. Durable RBs are a thing of the past, it seems. Draft a durable round 2 guy and add him to your stable. Sinking bank on a RB is a tough sell these days.

Careers are too short and the RB by comittee has taken the league over. Unless they have AP talent than no
Steve Spurrier is a God, and Mark Richt worships him
I'd say never do it in the 1st round... even if they have "AP ability". You can't always gauge what level of talent means a "sure thing". Reggie Bush was supposed to be more of a sure thing than Peterson.
The fact is that the offense can make or break an RB... not the other way around. Good RBs in the league can seem entirely mediocre on a team not ready for a solid running game. Even if a guy perceived to be "AP level" is out there, I'd probably pass him up in favor of a top-flight DE/OLB or a 1st round caliber QB.
