No beef isnt a traditional BBQ but is just as good, same with chicken
And for what its worth we raise 3 beefs and 3 hogs every year and its not much cheaper than buying it, but we know how and what it was fed, and we dont use growth hormones like most meat producers do

I may be a "yankee" but I damn sure know what and how to bbq! I spent most of my teens in the south and will probably end up in GA, TN, AL, or NC when I get back.

This guy disagrees. My go to BBQ place in my town. Best rib on the planet.

Agreed. Anyone who limits themselves to one animal is just short changing themselves. I love it all.
Not if that one animal taste better than the rest. Like sausage, i don't care how good someone "thinks" their venison is it's not better than pork. When you have to add pork to something to make it taste better just stick pork to begin with.

Elk doesnt need pork to taste good, it does have more fat than deer
