This first deal was just a practice, so we did not do top performers in terms of ranking them, but these eight caught our eye.
Max Browne (USC commit)
JT Barrett (Ohio State commit)
Austin Allen (Arkansas commit, won accuracy challenge)
Troy Williams (Washington commit)
Kevin Olsen (Miami commit)
Shane Morris (Michigan commit)
Brice Ramsey (Georgia commit)
Danny Etling (Purdue commit)

Read that Morris was hurting some kids hands... it's gotta be a shock to go from a normal HS QB, to a guy that has a BCS level arm.
Outside of best 40, Bateman hasn't been mentioned.
Hoping he can get some attention out there against the top flight QB prospects.
Browne is overrated
Just curious - what are the things you're looking for from Hackenberg?
My guess is looking for him to be more consistent in his accuracy.
Overreaction on the part of the kids. Don't get me wrong, he has a strong, strong arm but some of it was just kids being kids.
Oh he did just fine. Also check BamaOnline for a more extensive breakdown.
Based on what? His size, arm, football IQ, production???
Accuracy, but he could have easily been on this list- had a good day. We just wanted to put out a few names from a practice session to give you guys a look. Today is way more extensive.
No worries, JC. If he's on the list, great, if not, not a big deal. Was just looking to find out what Hack needs to improve on the most.
JC, What type of impact will an event like this have on rankings? Will it be comparable to the Opening?
You lose brain cells when you reply to that guys flame attempts. Just an FYI.
What time does everything get cranked up this morning out there?
His performance in the opening champ game was less than mediocre. No concept of time in the pocket plus several poor reads which lead to the loss.
No. Very small adjustments. I say often that ranking top prospects is splitting hairs and this event is an example of that. Don't expect many huge moves based on this-perhaps some smaller ones.
That is unless it's a guy we haven't seen a whole lot of and we were wrong about something we saw on film, but there's nothing like that here.
I am not knocking the event FWIW. I think it's tremendous and we love reporting on it to you guys and it is something you guys should pay attention to. We just want to make sure we are realistic about what it is from an eval standpoint.
So one 7on game with no pass rush and you couldn't see if he had open receivers or not on TV...respect your opinion but disagree and think it's a huge stretch.
Right now in a few. Fixing to bring it.
Any word on Anthony Jennings?
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Can't wait. I saw in last nights thread Ducksworth posted a list of 40 times and other measurables, but the list didn't have Swoopes or JT who you'd think would lead the pack in. Do you have any info on that, did all the qb's make it in time for that?
What about Kevin Olsen, what stood out most about him?
It's all about the U!
Can't believe dude is actually flaming a staff member.
Anything on Malik Zaire?
5 Time POTW--Gringo Mafia Director of Guerrilla Warfare
Thanks for the update, JC. Always interesting to see how kids do at this camp.
