Still think it's a delusion?
Good for Chiz hopefully he gets the job and we would save another 2.5 million. The EJ deal isn't done yet but it's looking likely.
He still hasnt taken the job. He is interviewing for the FSU position tomorrow. Would be HILARIOUS if he turns down an extra 300K to take the FSU job. Doubt it happens but would laugh at Auburn for an eternity if it did.
keep the hope brother :)
Not surprising that Auburn is out trying to hunt squirrels with shotguns here. Ellis is a 600-675K coordinator. If you pay him 900 then the word Insecurity can finally be officially added to the school's crest.
I am still upset of the 800 for crap this year.
Yes. Just like John Gruden, Petrino, Stoops, Goldman, Darby, etc.
Not all, but a lot, of the Auburn fan base has made it look bad with insane predictions and claims - which don't turn out to be true.
Auburn very well may get him. If so, congrats. Theres nothing delusional about thinking he goes to Auburn. What's delusional is thinking Auburn simply has far more money then anyone and no one stands a chance with bidding with you. Thats foolish.
FSU most likely will not be willing to pay anything above 750k for him. We have produced back-to-back top 5 defenses while paying Stoops less then that. EJ has NEVER produced a top 10 defense (that I remember). We aren't going to over pay someone for the hell of it when we've proven we can get results and quality for less then Auburn.
Everybody has their share of delusional fans. A segment of FSU fans proclaiming themselves preseason national champions amost every single year for example.
If FSU cant or wont match the money Auburn is willing to pay, that certainly isnt Auburn's fault
If Auburn has to overpay, it might be because the ACC is a joke of a conference and Auburn could never match the easy path that conference gives FSU toward winning. FSU had their best season in a decade and the 3rd or 4th best team in the SEC beat them down by 20 points in their own stadium. That is a perfect example of the difference in difficulty between the two conferences

Pretty sure he had a top 5 defense at south carolina...just sayin. And its official now he is auburns
"Get in where you fit in." Life is, Too Short TL;DR
All hail Gus the Great.
Huddles are for rookies.
I will hold off till we name our DL coach but
Auburn actually does have more money than 95% of the schools out there.
Thanks for being a perfect example of the Auburn fan I was talking about.
You try to peg Florida as the 3rd or 4th best team in the SEC to try and make the SEC look better (something your team did nothing to help with). Florida is actually either 1st or 2nd best. Nothing less.
The fact you think UF is possibly 4th best lets me know how disconnected with reality you are.
He also inked Clowney and Gilmore ( first round pick last year ). He has endless in roads in recruiting . Fantastic hire by Auburn
He doesn't blitz a while lot but he does a great job of disguising coverages .
Money talks, BS walks with its head down wondering aimlessly.
Auburn kills gnats with sledge hammers!
Here is a man that knows his shit!
It is tough to rank Florida above the 3rd best team in the SEC when Alabama is playing for the national championship and Georgia beat Florida head to head and Georgia also represented the eastern division in the SEC championship game
A Florida State fan calling somebody else delusional is the ultimate lulz anyway. You think you are some type of elite powerhoue, but you are so irrelevent that the SEC doesnt even want your sorry asses. Auburn also had more undefeated in the last decade than FSU has had in their entire existence and we have done it in a conference that is 10 times harder than the conference you play in

Comical how overrated Florida was until they curb stomped FSU. All we heard is how FSU would kill them and then look what happened. FSU built themself up by beating an average Clemson team at home and doing nothing else.
FWIW, Florida did finish 2nd in the SEC East. There is no denying that.
So, winning your side of the conference, like UGA did by beating UF means nothing?
I would beg to differ. Of course, you can argue look at the rankings now, but you are discounting that UGA took Bama to the ropes...and UF never even had the chance. So, I do not see where UF is 2nd best in your conference.
Likewise, you talk of FSU's loss to UF. Well, name a team that can beat a top 5 ranked opponent with 5 turnovers. Your beloved Bama had just 3 TO's and lost to a #15 TAMU team (that was coincidentally beaten by UF). I recall Bama fans quite confident they would beat TAMU. Funny how that works, ey?
Ellis has been hired by Auburn
Auburn is a dumpster fire, LOL thinking you are even close to the program FSU is
We sucked this year playing in the best conference in college football. FSU sucked for almost a decade straight prior to this year playing in a joke of conference.
Auburn is also a founding member of the best conference in college football. A conference that doesnt want FSU because you arent important enough to join. However, you shouldnt let those facts stop you from trying to convince yourself how awesome you are
You sucked because your program can't compete with the top 6 in your conference. And only a Scam brought you a MNC. FSU sucked for a decade because are hall of fame legendary coach wouldn't leave.
What's hilarious is you think Auburn is responsible for the ridiculous perception that the SEC is head and shoulders better than anyone else. But good deflection by introducing conference affiliation which means jack shit. FSU takes a dump on Auburns program. Nice whiff on trying to bring stoops and Jimbo in, LOL! Nobody said anything about being awesome but one thing is for sure FSU > Auburn
