That's correct. He injured his shoulder before the season which required surgery and was scheduled to miss 3-4 months. He was fully cleared this past weekend so he will make his debut this Saturday it appears.
White will probably flip since Stoops is gone but Bama seems to make room for him or at least that is what was said. And I am sure Bama will make room for him
BTW I think Chris Black is a very good WR but he isn't anything special ... He will be solid for Bama, he will compliment Cooper as a duo.... Now as for the dime a dozen comment it has more to do with his game, his style of play... those type of WR grows on trees in Florida... it isn't how good he is but the type of WR he is...
Seems like fsu would be winning nat championships with all those top notch players. Poor ole Bama just left with cast offs and midgets. We appreciate it. Good luck in the acc championship game, there is a lot riding in the balance.
Not really sure why we have to be d-bags about this.I think they are wrong regarding Black but onyl time will tell. Let the kid make a statement and then we can revisit his evaluation by the Nole fans.
An opinion is not wrong nor right... ijs
I would want to contribute. Players want to play in big games. It doesn't get bigger than the SECCG and possible a BCSCG. Neither are a guarantee to happen again and if my team was able to win either, I'd want to say I was on the field to help win them.
Never know what can happen after this year either. Could have a bad injury in the future and never play again. I think players think about this very differently than fans do.
What about Mark Ingram, Sr? Does he get credit for him since Saban was in charge of making Mark go to class?
I'm convinced that NovaNoles is a chick. No way any dude has those kinda of emotional outbursts.
F that. If he can help us win then it's totally worth it. I'm sure he'd say the same thing. Will he actually contribute? Well I'm sure the coaches wouldn't put him out there unless they expected him to. And if he can help us win this game then he'll have another month to prepare for Miami.
I think it's funny how some ppl are saying he's overrated and "hasn't done sh*t". Well yeah, he's been hurt all season, lol. I also think it's funny some are saying he's going to be great even though he has never played. I think the fact Saban was praising him in the Spring and said he would contribute a lot this year, he had a TD in the Spring game, he was so highly rated, and the coaches are comfortable putting him out there in a game of this magnitude...all good signs. We'll see though. Even if he does play Saturday, I don't expect him to go off or anything. He would still be our 4th or 5th option and I expect us to run a lot anyways.
I'm excited to see him play, that's all I know.
It doesn't make sense. If he was as good as Cooper, why haven't we gotten him in there sooner? Was he injured badly?
Nevermind. He screwed his shoulder up in the spring. I forgot.
I just find this thread incredibly funny: bama fans ask for an opinion, get an opinion supported by several others who say the same thing, and then Bama fans start attacking people for having an opinion that their prize 5* recruit seems alot of meh.
Cooper shot up several boards with his summer camps. FSU REALLY wanted him. You could see that Cooper was going to flourish in CFB. He has and is a great WR for Bama.
Black just did nothing to distinguish himself from the class last year. He may or may not do well, but all we have to judge him on is comparatively to the class last year. As such, he was not impressive and seemed average compared to other FLA HS wrs.
Flame away, bama fans.
Mother of God at the fail in this post.

An SEC title and a shot at the national championship is worth a lot more than one year of a WR's eligibility. The whole point of this game is to win championships and if the coaches think he can help us do that then he needs to play and from the article we already know he wants to play. Black catching 2 passes for 13 yards and requiring DB's to cover his speedy ass deep is enough to burn the shirt if it helps us win.
I don't think he'll be a game changer in ATL. Like I said though, any help he can bring us is worth it. If he's better than Shinn, Cyrus Jones, etc. then he needs to be out there. I think this is going to be a close game where we need all the help we can get.

God, give me patience today. If given strength I may beat someone to death.
Dude do you follow me around in every thread, because I swear as soon as I post here you are like a lost puppy.
Lol I don't follow you anywhere, I just love commenting on people failing and you seem to do so an awful lot.
How is Henne doing these days? Gabbert was obviously so much better.
It's comments like this that make it pretty obvious you don't know as much about Alabama football as you think you do. Or Saban.
You need a hug sometimes, NoVa.
I watched two First Coast games last year and thought he was a good but not jaw-dropping great either time. Small sample size.
He may end up as an All-American but I, and a lot of Noles here, weren't upset when he chose bama.
