Please feel free to add the stats/results of any college or high school athlete that you are aware of throughout the year. I will add results throughout the Spring/Summer as I become aware of them.
For now as 2/8/13:
Marvin Bracy (FSU)- 6.61
Damiere Byrd (South Carolina)- 6.66
Justin Scott-Wesley (Georgia)- 6.75
*****This weekend (tonight) UGAs Dynamic Duo, RBs Todd Gurley (60m Hurdles) and Keith Marshall (60m Dash), are scheduled to compete in an Indoor Meet at Virginia Tech. Gurley was the 2011 Youth National and 2011 North Carolina 2A State Champ in the 110m Hurdles while Marshall was the 2011 Youth National and 2011 North Carolina 4A State Champ in the 100m Dash. Gurley also ran the 100m Dash at Youth Nationals and the 2A State Meet in 2011 and finished 5th in both.
From my understanding, their friendship developed over the Summer AAU Track Circuit. This led to them essentially become best friends and deciding to play together in college.
Marshall and Gurley are 2 of a short list of legit current college RBs that have run sub 11.00 FAT wind legal over 100m. "Typical", 11.00 FAT equates to about a 4.4 hand-time 40. There is not a 1.0/perfect correlation between 40 yard dash and 100m times but the correlation coefficient is likely in the .88-.93 range....

"You must show no mercy nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you, for your GREATNESS will silence them all." -ULTIMATE WARRIOR
Marshall and Gurley certainly take a lot of the sting out of getting owned with RB's on the recruiting trail by Bama this year. If they stay healthy, we'll be just fine.

BBD what do you think of Marlon Humphrey in the speed category?
as for your OP I don't have times on for 60m, but Malcolm Mitchell and Keith Marshall are as fast if not faster than JSW.
55m dash from 1/26/13:
Tony James (2014 rb)- 6.28
Lovonte Whitfield - 6.32
Don't forget Rico Johnson. Kid has blazing speed.
Shelton Gibson ran the 60m in 6.88 and 100m 10.99
Mario Alford had a 10.80 100m time.
Both were over a year ago so not sure how much faster they are now.
Those 100 times are okay but nothing to brag about.
Whitfield is the #1 track star in Florida right now according to the rankings. Also I believe Bracy just got the fastest 100m dash in college this year
He probably is, but he lost to Tony James at the Carnes Meet.
The 100m times are hard to judge, without knowing the wind conditions.
Not trying to brag. I was just seeing what that would translate to other kids. Alford is also juco and those numbers were from high school. Should be much faster now.
Dontre Wilson laid down a 10.55 in the 100m last year. Don't know his 60m time. Respectable time.
I am a Buckeye...proof there is a God in Heaven who loves me.
James Clark ran a 10.40 100m last year as well. And don't forget about the nationally ranked hurdler that committed to Oregon Devon Allen. I don't have any times to post but apparently the kid is electric.
Marlon Humphrey posted a 6.89 60m earlier this month in the AHSSA state finals
Kailo Moore is pretty quick. He ran a 10.41 last spring to win MS state championship.
Jeryl Brazil for LSU ran a 10.00 100m and 4.2 40.. Our fastest commit by far, maybe fastest in the nation
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Sheroid Evans from Texas was challenging Marquise Goodwin for fastest on the team last year. He’s run a 10.39 in the 100m, 20.82 in the 200m and 50.55 in the 400m hurdles. I think hes a sophmore
if true, he is dumb to be playing football. he has world class speed
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
There are plenty players with world class speed who choose to play football.
From the BR Newspaper....
Clocked at 4.29 seconds in the 40-yard dash and 10.2 seconds in the 100 meters — he won the 2012 Class 3A state outdoor titles with times of 10.36 in the 100 and 20.81 in the 200 — Brazil expects to be a sprinter at LSU as well. He wore No. 2 at Loranger, where he played quarterback, but he said he hopes to wear No. 7 at LSU, as did former All-America cornerbacks Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu.
EDIT: he had a bad start on his 10.36 run but still won.. His 10.02 time is legit but from another race.

Ummm, if the kid really ran a 10.00 in high school......it would be the fastest time EVER (beating Jeff Demps by 0.01)
With that type speed, you have Olympic level talent and should go that route instead of football, IMO.
AU walk-on Corey Grant ran a 4.2 40 according to a BB poster last fall.
Marvin Bracy just ran the fastest 60 meter dash in the nation with a 6.54
Rumored 4.28 40
All this at 210lbs
