So Indiana scored 29 points against NW while being +2 in turnover margin. Meanwhile, PSU was -1 in turnover margin (during non-garbage time) and scored 39 points against NW. Yet Indiana's offense is that much greater than PSU's? Real geniuses in here.

Not completely, but it is usually a decent gauge to consider both points and turnovers. Especially since NW played PSU and Indiana consecutively.
But yeah, I guess comparing statistics between completely different opponents is so much more legitimate.
