I heard the biggest issue holding back the change in America is just the cost to replaced gauges, equipment etc in all industries. Not sure if true tho

Shitty deal man, it's crazy how it just seems like heavy rain then all of a sudden there's water in your house. Any reason for it just being in your area - just a low spot in Toronto ?
I'm not sure why my area got hit harder than others, if it is lower in the scheme of Toronto that is the first I've heard about it.
I've lived in my house 23 years, and I've never seen anything close to what happened on Monday. It was kinda cool, but no so cool because it did some damage. In the scheme of things it wasn't too bad, just some carpets to be replaced.
As soon as power comes back up everything will be kosher.
The biggest issue in calgary was it was river water so
a) when people evacuate for x amount of days, hello mold, goodbye walls/foundation
b) all the silt in the water due to the higher rates, try cleaning that shit out of your house
Glad yours wasn't too bad - i know what you mean tho, there's definitely a cool side to seeing what nature can do
