"I thought we got better as an offense tonight," Beamer said. "I'm going to take that and build on that."
Bowden, that you ?
gotta love Coach speak.... enter fireworks.
The old man is losing his grip, this could be his last yr.
We did some good things tonight, we did some things not so good. I feel like we're a block here or a play here from getting this thing together.
Thanks Coach Beamer
No problem guys. Hey they gonna have any fireworks here or not?
Frank is on his last leg, and will take the program he helped build up down with him like Joe Pa and Bowden.

Bowden's favorite excuse was
" we are just a player or two away from getting this thing turned around "
No bobby, we were about 34 players, a whole new coaching staff and 3/4 years of rebuilding away
I dont know how Beamer managed to drop that game with a stud at QB like Logan Thomas.
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or it may last a year. But eventually, it will subside. If i quit, however it will last forever.
My favorite was the announcers saying " well now we get to see a 6'6" 260 pounders cannon arm "
Then Logan bombed one 20 yards short of the endzone after almost taking a sack... And the other team caught it
Well from the 1st quarter to the 4th quarter I'd say the offense did get better in that game. Of course, it's pretty easy to do better when you have 5 punts and a fumble with several 3 and outs to start the game. VT will probably still win the Coastal and everything will seem all fine so no major changes will be made continuing our level of above average mediocrity.
When he said that I immediately thought this
Logan might give our d problems if va tech watched the usf and Clemson film.
They always have fireworks in Washington, D.C.. Usually though, those fireworks are followed by crime scene tape and a CSI unit. This crime scene involved the murder of a turkey.
I can't wait until VT scares the shit out of the 'Noles, maybe even beats them, to hear the multitude of different excuses on this board. That's gonna be a fun day.
VT will probably VT, for sure. Lose games to James Madison, Pitt and Cincy....teams they should obviously beat. Then, true to VT form, they will win a game or two they have no reason to win: like FSU, Miami or Clemson.
It happens. It's VT and it is football, after all.
If you have read my posts you would know i think they will be FSU's biggest test
VT blows though, for most of the reasons i warned this board about all offseason
A testament to the finely honed coaching abilities of our QB coach, mike O'Cain. You can rag on Logan all you want, but the guy became the second VT QB in the school's history to throw for more than 3,000 yards in a season, and broke Tyrod's record for offensive yards in a season.
OCain took him under his wing, and changed him from a semi accurate passer that could throw the ball 75 yards, to a highly inaccurate passer that can throw the ball 55 yards.
This guy that can't throw an accuarate 8 yard pass, went 23-25 against Miami last year, with one throw away and one drop. Not a clue what has happened.
Not a big deal.
A little known secret is that Miami's defensive philosophy is to allow the QB to complete passes until A) He breaks all of his receivers hands or B) He throws out his shoulder.
Waiting for Clemson fans to chime in on Ocain's coaching prowess
Can't let him go yet. He is still looking for his signature win. Maybe next year he can win a big game.
Sounds like a good a plan to me? Do other teams try something other than this?
We open with Bama. Bet they is shaking in they cleats.
