I would get anyone out, including the rapists/whatever elses.
On earth, you have a finite time and can only do a finite amount of damage. Even if you managed to kill everyone on earth, that's 7 billion people you killed, a finite number.
Finite crime does not warrant infinite punishment.
He was saying that we have the urge to do bad things, so we are evil. I just want to know what bad things he is talking about.
Depends on the person - as a Bills fan, if I find out it's Scott Norwood, he can stay there until he can kick a clutch FG.
So that's a no on Hitler?

Exactly. But according to the Bible if you do not believe in Jesus then God is going to lock you up in there and throw away the key for eternity. Even though he doesn't have to do this, because God has no limits. He will do this and he and all the believers will live happily ever after in heaven, not giving all those poor suffering souls a second thought ever again. Am I correct in all of this?

Yep. Which is why I often think of heaven as a psychopath convention. Hell is infinitely worse than the worst human tragedy, yet no one in heaven cares. It's infinitely more morally distasteful than walking by Auschwitz and not caring.
All I know is hell must be hella crowded, with all those poor souls before Christianity came along.
Why So Serious?
There is actually something in the Bible addressing those people but I'm not sure so I won't post it.
Intrigued by you bringing up the fact he doesn't have to leave us there forever. Does that open the door for some sort of Nick Cage, quasi-dead experience?
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it
Yet God is said to love us all so much.
Give some proof and a heck of a lot more will take the narrow road. But for some reason it has to be a guessing game.

And those who do ignore everyone who doesn't.
Like I said, heaven is a sociopath convention.
Indeed, god just doesn't want you to believe in him, he wants you to believe in him for poor reasons.
Why? What purpose does it serve?
have faith in some being which eminently says we are all despicable people because of a story about some people eating an apple. gotcha.
FAITH is not PROOF
"Do not do unto others what you would not want them do unto you."
I bet God would love to be held accountable because of actions committed by someone completely out of his control. In which case, God made Adam and Eve.. therefore, he too, is a horrible sinner.
I would have no problem with faith if I knew why it was better than giving proof so that more people would believe. I mean that is what God wants, right? People to believe? Isn't it contradictory to do something that would prevent this from happening? It just makes me think maybe there is no proof because it was all made up.
I think it's pragmatic - blind faith is about the only thing that'll keep someone worshipping for the rest of their life in the face of every logical or rational critique. Zealots are infinitely easier to manage than critical thinkers.
If you're starting a religion, it's imperative to teach that blind faith is morally superior to reason in order to ensure your followers won't convert when they can't present evidence.
Blind faith is also the best way to manage social inequality. If you give someone an ideal that they can believe in, an eternal reward to strive towards, then you literally never have to give them anything in life, you can take and take and take, and at the end of the day, they'll go to their grave with the belief that they're going on to something better.
By threatening people with hell, you can control a population that would otherwise have nothing to lose. Fear of eternal damnation kept so many slaves and serfs obedient for so long. The Bible's strong emphasis on obeying masters wasn't an accident.
Absolutely correct. Religion is regarded by the poor as useful, but the educated as amusing, and by the powerful as useful.
You got it , man..-
