Like me some Chris Christie.
I Ain't got no Worries - Lebron James
5 trillion in debt. Say that to yourselfs a few times.
Christie is the man, happy to have him as my governor.
Sorry left the 1 off. My mistake
Rock and roll. Even referenced a little Bruce. "edge of darkness"
Somewhere James Carville & his cronies are deviously planning to tear them apart.
Didn't take more than 30 minutes after Christie's speech (picture posted on Obama facebook):
If that picture is true that's not very good for either one...
Unfortunately, Obama was never a Governor so all you can really hold against him is a voting record. I guess people have to just make up their minds based on the last 4 yrs of his presidency where he inherited a bad situation and made it worse.
Another note on that picture. I find it interesting that 1 stat is unemployment and the other stat is job creation. Why aren't both job creation? Or both unemployment? As passionate as I can get about all this stuff, this is why I can't stand politics.
It'd be nice to be able to vote for someone that wasn't the lesser of 2 evils. But I would gladly vote for Christie. He's the only person I know in the modern era to truly stand up to unions and say "Hey! We're broke! I'm not bending for you guys anymore". And he called out the CA Governor for trying to raise taxes while making pensions cushier for various unions. I could go on... but I won't...
Unfortunate, it is. Surprised he hasn't been disregarded in this thread yet for his weight.
I do not think Christie is conservative enough for me (well Libertarian, then again nobody is outside of Ron Paul), but I respect the hell out of him and put him above a lot. Why you ask??? You do not have to guess where he stands on an issue, he will tell you straight up. He reminds me of former LA Governor, Mike Foster. Maybe someone from NJ can point to non straight-forward speeches/actions, but he seems like an up-front and direct kind of guy.
People who are super wealthy and/or are celebrities pick up politics as their profession.
The educated man runs from politics because he knows it is never a winning situation.
I think it's true but was trying to stay away from any strong political beliefs as I didn't want to e-debate.
Fair enough... and I have read things I would link as well. And to be honest, the company I work for is booming right now. I do believe in a cyclical economy though. Meaning, in the most basic terms, it goes up and down with a general trend upwards. And in that belief, I think that whoever takes over the presidency for the next 4 yrs is going to be praised for 'turning us around' because that's where we're headed. So either Romney or Obama is going to look like a genius through little doing of their own (JMO).
I used to be really into this stuff, but as I get older I realize it matters little. I'll be excited about the next president who comes in and says, "OK, things really suck right now... and they're probably gonna suck for awhile because that's how these things work." OR "Things are going pretty well... but let me tell ya! It might go downhill in a few years... cuz thats how things work!" Tired of the political nonsense. Its also why I like the Gov from NJ. He tells it like it is and doesn't take crap... but he isn't political enough to make a run at the Presidency in the future. He'd probably walk around with his foot in his mouth.
And this is what I mean... I googled the organization you linked. Within the first few google hits:
I'm not even saying its right or wrong, but they're all bias in 1 aspect or another. Also, George Soros donating $3M to the organization tells me all I need to know about which way it leans... George doesn't exactly donate money to right-wing or even middle of the road causes.
He really had a great idea when he made the state pay for a bankrupt casino that is now hemorrhaging money and has bankruptcy concerns. Way to bring back Atlantic City Chris! Go eat another hoagie you pig
Not guilty y'all got to feel me
Those graphs are not so much FACTS as they are estimates.
Vegas you're right the economy is cyclical. And no president deserves complete blame or praise for what the economy is doing. One single man cannot control something as large and complex as our economy. I would argue that Congress has far more of an impact than the POTUS.
you are correct that one person can't control everything (however he does appoint the Fed chairman) , please go look for the last budget passed by our senate

Numbers don't mean much these days as they are spun by everyone. Unemployment among real folks hasn't gotten better and distrust of the Presidency among business folks is at an all-time high. Our economic outlook and prospects haven't improved over the last 4 years, and the country is more polarized than ever. The President has failed, and, he's going to lose. He said himself that he shouldn't be elected if things weren't significantly better after 4 years. Even you can't say things are significantly better.
You should have nominated Hillary.
South Carolina Gamecocks. The 2010 National College Baseball Champs.
B/c folks are still out of work (374,000 new unemployment aps for August) and businesses are afraid to invest, and nobody wants Obamacare, and the debt has increased exponentially, the latter of which especially kills our future prospects.
Gotta love the "You ig'nant!" card. You end any rational discussion with that.
welcome to the republican bubble. facts matter very little to them.
Clint Eastwood to President Obama, "Go ahead, make my day."

Mitt doing work!
Mitt is straight cash right now. You have to be blind, deaf, and mute to vote Obama back into office.
Just want your guy to do what he promised. Change. What happened? Lied. Will Romney save the world? Doubt it. Just another suit. But he hasn't promised the moon.
