They have cut out so much stuff and added other stuff it is starting to get confusing.
The previews for next week look like they may have changed something else... Was that Rob Snow talking to Theon, or was it cut to throw us all off?
Well it looks like Theon is escaping from where ever he was being held. Which if it did happen in the books we were certainly never told about it.

You don't remember what's about to happen to Theon?
Yeah, but imagine what a monumental task it is to pace these things. My guess is that the series will become more focused on events than time.
But seeing the added content (the crossbow scene with Joff/Margaery, the convo b/w bizarro Jeyne & Catelyn) is a little frustraing when we consider what could've been put in it's place.
Yes but it was never explicitly covered in the books. At least not that I remember.
Not that... I went back and watched it. I thought Rob Snow was talking to Theon. I went back and watched it. It was two different scenes... It threw for a loop at the first glance...
This scene was in the books with the girl he used to f__k
I just meant the fight. Both persons looked like the were moving slow. They need a fight coordinator.
It has just been slow long I guess. It has probably been 8 years since I read Storm of Swords.
I feel ya. I picked the first one up not too long ago so a lot of it is still fresh.
Why do the theories have Jon's eyes as being purple when the books and shows say they're brown/black?
Haha, I thought I was going crazy for a sec
If the theories come to fruition I don't think they will make nearly as much sense on the show unless they some how just make it obvious somewhere along the way.
Was glad to finally see Thoros of Myr.
The fight was awful. In the books it was pretty epic, I got the impression it was a 20-30 minute ordeal that covered some geography as well.
The contrast between he and Mellisandre is interesting. He's obviously fun loving while takes life very seriously.
I knew they wouldn't be able to do it justice but it looked like they were barely moving. Very bad.
While the episode was slow in terms of action, tits & dragons, a lot of shit did happen. It advanced quite a few storylines.
-Arya was captured by the Brotherhood Without Banners
-so was The Hound who gave up Arya's identity
-Jaime and Brienne were captured by the Flayed Men
-the Reeds finally showed up
-Olenna was introduced
-Sir Tully died
It's all setting up nicely, IMO
I just went ahead and deleted it.
I am reading the entire series over the summer again. I was reading the wiki about all of the speculations and future POVs and stores and I am blown away.
EDIT AUSSIE: I edited this last part. It could be considered spoilerish. There is a book thread for those that want to discuss full spoilers.
Here you go.
Here is a thread for guys that want to talk about the books and also the future of the show. Some guys just cant help themselves in the sh
Sorry for spoilers
No worries. It was nothing major but some might get upset about it.
Oops I tried writing it spoiler free.
