Here you go. Volantis is near the south-west corner of the continent of Essos. It is on The Royne River.
The map in the link below is expandable.
With Season 2, HBO's Viewer Guide has upgraded its map and we finally have an official representation of Essos beyond the Forest of Qohor, apart from th...
Repost from my homesite:
This scene didn't have the pyrotechnics and excitement that some others scenes have had over the last week, but this might be my favorite scene in the show's run. So much was explained in during this 6+ minutes. Both actors played it perfectly. My only wish is that they could have made the dialogue just a bit easier to hear.
For the last 2 years, I've been telling people that haven't read the books that Jaime isn't quite who they think he is.
Game of Thrones - Jaime and Brienne take a bath together. Jaime reveals to Brienne why he killed the Mad King and became the Kingslayer

So is Robb retarded or what?
He believes that bc he f_cked the chick that he had to wife her. So yes.
His mom is too.
Sounds like Ned was a tard too... The north is too wrapped up in honor.
However, that hoe he married is hotter than that ugly ass hoe he would have married.
That's a change from the books... Wtf...
Tywin is an assmaster, but he is a smart assmaster.
I loved seeing Cersi get put in her fudge packing place..
Whatcha referring to?
Melissandre and Thoros meeting?
what the hell is going on?
What do you mean ?
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Yeah. In the books Gendry stayed behind with that group, but I don't remember Melisandre taking him... Wtf did I miss something in the books? I know it's been a while, but he's suppose to do something else in A Feast of Crows I thought.

I think he's taking on the Edric Storm role.
Lots of departures from the books. Don't want to spoil anything for anyone.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Tonight's episode is on my top-10 list for the history of the series so far. The departures (and there were a couple of MAJOR ones) from the books actually work better in some ways than the story from the books. Meshing in the importance of Edrick Storm, who we don't meet in the show, with the character of Gendry is genius. I love the interplay between Melisandre and Thoros. The short conversation between Melisandre and Arya was another high point. I love the foreshadowing.
The only complaint that I have is that if they wanted to start out the episode with that scene between Sam and Gilly, the payoff needed to be in the same episode.

Also, poor Ros.
nothing. I am in central time. (I usually am on eastern) and forgot I was on central so I missed the show and was out... now I must wait.
Yeah jesus, she got a worse death than anybody so far
Joffrey is a sick, little puppy, man.
That message from Melisandre to Arya was dope. A tip of the hand towards book 6, maybe?
Most certainly, but also some foreshadowing for Arya's journey even before book 6.
The message Arya got from Melisandre in tonight's episode was similar to the message that Arya received from that creepy little lady (who might have possibly been a Child of The Forest?) up at that High Heart in Book 3.
What did Melisandre say to Arya? It completely confused me.
Also why did the red head girl end up crying? Was it bcuz she thot she was gonna marry the gay dude but she wasnt allowed or something?
Why is that one iron dude being tortured by the dude ,who got beheaded by john snow,'s son? I mean John snow killed his dad so why does he care if that dude betrayed john snow?
Basically I need a summary and significance of the episode because I have no idea what the hell just happened.
1- She told arya about seeing different color eyes, or a hint that she becomes a somebody who can change her face ( wink wink )
2- Because Sansa was reacting to the news that Tyrion told her she was to marry him and not Loras Tyrell who was her dream husband so to speak
3- you are just way off on that one.... Ramsey Bolton is loyal to the Stark's, and he is a sick bastard.... this subplot is just getting started.... Ramsey is the bastard son of Lord Bolton, who was talking with Jamie in this episode.... and they are a banner loyal to the Stark's

ahhhhhh ok. I appreciate it! Wish I had read the books because the characters and house names and stuff get so confusing.
Any other big things I probably shouldve noted in this episode?
Melisandre/Arya: I don't remember the exact quote, but Melisandre says something along that lines of the idea that she sees some image/symbol of death in Arya. Melisandre goes on to say that the image/symbol of death she sees in Arya has many eyes....and the eyes are in a variety of colors.
Sansa (the red head girl): Was crying because she just found out she wasn't marrying Loras and is going to have to marry Tyrion. If you remember in the episode from last week, Littlefinger told Sansa he could get her out of Kings Landing when he left, but Sansa declined. When Littlefinger offered, she was under the impression she was going to marry Loras and have a perfect life in High Garden, which is where Loras is from.
-The guy torturing Theon is fucking with Theon for the sick fun of torturing Theon. If you listened closely, he tells Theon that everything he has told Theon was a lie at the end of the scene. Theon still has no idea of who the person torturing him is...or why he is torturing him.
And yes. She was crying at that while Littlefinger sailed off.
Bolton are loyal to the Bolton. Ramsey Snow is just off doing his own thing at this point. Physical and mental torture to Theon.
Very good summary.
Word on 3, I thought they were a banner to the north though ? no ?
I know what they become, but for now I thought they were loyal to Stark and Ramsey was ordered to bring Robb Theon's head... but now he is just keeping him and messing with him mentally and physically because he actually enjoys it
