I wonder how much the other swing states have changed
Yes but we all know that "Bush and his oil buddies" control the gas prices...well at least according to the left. Why would his oil buddies want to help Obama get reelected?
Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
Awaiting liberal spin...
University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
It will be followed by the closest related, negative accusation towards the right.
The Dems know Calif is in the bag so gas is still way over $4.00
Looks like another perfect day.
I guess you have at least 7 already ITT.
Oooh, so does this mean if Romney wins the presidency we can start attacking him in a few years when gas prices rise for reasons entirely out of the president's control?
Jeebus, the only people who bring up historical gas prices are the ones who insist on using the tired and ignorant "Gas was $1.87 when Obama took office" attack. Anyone with half an ounce of sense realizes that the president doesn't control gas prices.
Gas prices are controlled by the president if he isn't from your party.
Then why the hell hasn't gas dropped in Alabama so significantly? Cali? Any other state that is NOT (keyword there) a swing state?
Exactly, once again you prove you don't know what the hell you are talking about. Go back to your philosophy class, I am sure you will fix all problems there.
Clearly everyone in this thread said the POTUS controls gas prices.
Fine by me. I'll be driving through Ohio soon.
What in the hell are you talking about? Gas prices in Ohio dropped about 49 cents ($3.76 to $3.27), while gas prices in California dropped about 42 cents ($3.67 to $3.25) over the same period of time.
Once again, YOU prove that you don't know what you're talking about.
LOL anti-intellectualism is funny.
Anyone above a 6th grade education knows that the President doesn't directly control anything outside of some national defense scenarios.
That is the base of all of the humor I derive from the debates and all of the squabbling over "It's Bush's fault-It's Obama's fault".
So you don't think the president opening up offshore drilling, banning fracking, or permitting the Alaskan pipeline wouldn't have any effects on gas prices?
All thanks to Obama amiright?!?!
This board is gonna be a fun place on Nov 6
Honestly, I think it's dumber to think a POTUS can change a dysfunctional Washington than it is to think his policies have some effect on commodities.
That must make you guys intellectually inferior to me.
Also, FWIW, gas dropped 50 cents in Michigan and 48 cents in Indiana, but hey, I'm sure the only reason it dropped in Ohio was because Ohio's a swing state.
Might be because the leaders on the left along with help from the media told everyone it was Bush controlling the gas prices to make more money for his buddies in "big oil". For some reason the media has been rather quiet on the subject the last couple of years...
You mean like the leaders of the dem party along with the help of the media did when Bush was in office?

As soon as a Dem gets in office, the Reps starting bashing him. As soon as a Rep gets in office, the Dems start bashing him. It's as reliable as the sun rising.
