Had about 20 fans in my restaurant/bar last night. All were great to talk to and had many great stories. Also, one warning seemed to be be repeated by several groups. They said Georgia fans travel well and like to have fun but when the LSU fans come to town it will be a zoo. I was told they travel the best in the SEC and like to drink...alot. We have at least a year to prepare for them. I am about 30 minutes from Columbia and the hotels in our city are sold out for the game for the first time in years if not ever. It is great to see and the MU fans in the area are very excited. Should be a fun night and a great game on Saturday.

Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
Cajuns are nuts.
Bama also travels well... Either that or they have a lot of bandwagon, t-shirt fans.

BornToBeRed said: WPS, just a head's up. We might be the most family-friendly board on the network, so take it easy on your normal wps-ness.
Gentry Estes said the airports are full of Red & Black.
Some are saying to expect 20k+ in Columbia. Guys on our board are complaining about the bars don't even open until 11am.
I have a good friend who is a UGA fan and I've been to Athens once for a game.
Great fans and some of the nicest people you will meet.
LSU fans are a good crowd IMO. They definitely spend money.
We open at 11 but it is not a state law so we have a few who come in earlier. You just send them all to me....we will take care of them. I have no doubt it will be close to 20k. Our hotels are full and we are 30 minutes away.
Last week we opened up at 7:30 and had over 50 ND fans for the Navy game.
It really just depends on what end of the spectrum crowd you get. Every fanbase has those homer idiots who run their mouth no matter what. Doesn't matter who it is. Everybody has their great fans and everybody has their fans that everyone is embarrassed about. I think the first meetings between all of these teams will be an enjoyable experience for just about anyone. Pumped to see that game tomorrow night by the way. Good luck all!
I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
We were discussing that last night. The Georgia fans said not to judge them by their students/younger fans and I said the same thing. Nothing against the students, just that is where you tend to find the most mouthy drunks.
Traveling fans are normally the best of a fanbase based on my experiences.
I am an LSU fan and can verify this. We drink a lot and eat lots of corndogs.

For Tide Pride season ticket holders, the Mizzou game was the 2nd toughest ticket after the LSU games. Even tougher than the Tennessee game.
In Auburn the LSU weekend made the bartenders more money than any other game including the Bama game. LSU travels great and they love the bars.
Dude, UGA fans suck. When they lose, they get really pissy so look out.
