Just saw on twitter that practice was cancelled due to rain....
How does a program with their level of resources not have an indoor practice facility? This is honestly shocking to me. Are there any other major schools without them?
FSU is having one installed currently.
Three W's In My Life: Ward, Weinke, and Winston
UGA admins just won't spend the money. We actually have basically a 2 car garage with turf that they say works, but whenever asked about it the AD just kind of shrugs it off.
Hoping to change that but CMR isn't for an indoor practice facility for some reason... SMH
Dawgs on Top!
SEC teams don't practice in the rain?
Edit: And FWIW Michigan has two.

I read the completion has been pushed back due to funding? OP UF doesn't have one, Miami doesn't either. Real men don't need them.
No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
USC has never had one, till recently - this year recently.
*Wait, not for practice, lol.

"Here are provided seats of meditative joy, where shall rise again the destined reign of Troy." Virgil
Florida doesn't either
Steve Spurrier is a God, and Mark Richt worships him
Florida doesn't have one and I doubt that we get one any time soon. Not really a need.
Richt said he want omen , but location is an issue. They don't want to have to load up on a bus to get there
Penn State's indoor facility is awesome, Holuba Hall is about as good as it gets.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
I agree. Don't see a need in the south. I'm sure Ga really cares they had to cancel a spring practice.
Indiana spent $20 million on a practice facility for the basketball team, basically told football to screw off for awhile. However when Glass became AD first thing he did was put $55 into the football facilities. Indiana now has one of the largest weight rooms in the country. Not that its really helping yet.

mkillian247 on twitter..... I say a lot of stuff you wont care about.
I wasn't saying that it was a huge deal, just that I was surprised. They only cost a couple million bucks and they are convenient for inclement weather. Yes, I know you can practice in the rain. It's still nice to be able to work indoors, especially if you're preparing for a dome game. I don't think it's a deal breaker for recruits or anything like that, but I'm surprised that so many schools don't have them.
We don't have room for one either.
Y'all can't knock over something else? They don't take up much space.
Why a stupid and misinformed post
So what, you think FSU just built one for the hell of it ?
Facts are FSU has practices cancelled every year because of lightning and you can't make them up so why not build a indoor facility, a sweet one at that also helps to wow recruits on visits
FSU's indoor facility is gonna be sweet as nuts and is nothing but a good thing
Now if you are as poor as Miami, then yeah who cares... you suck anyways
But I bet the house that UF builds one in the next 5 years just to stick it up FSU's ass, they certainly have the bread, the biscuits, that golden cheddar to build a better one

fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Cool story. Not misinformed either. Would I like one? Yes. Is it a necessity? No.
Pretty much epitomizes uga. Not quite big time
GET AT ME
Yeah, this is exactly what I was going to say... You don't practice in the rain because of the lightning. The south has insane lightning storms. Particularly in FLA no?
For FSU it is you moron, there is no way in hell you can deny that
Last year FSU missed 4 full practices and portions of others just in fall camp alone.... and it happens every year to some degree
Now it no longer will, getting those practices in is huge and not even measurable in terms of significance
North Florida I know they do, I'd imagine they do in south florida too considering fall camp is hurricane season IIRC
Not sure on that though
All I know for sure, is FSU needed a indoor facility badly
Jeremy Foley has been pretty adamant that we are not going to build one. Things could change of course and I would love to have for recruiting as much as anything.
Things do change, and once FSU's is up and finished and the buzz around it hits the trail
I would almost guarantee that the Bull Gators say " alright, enough of this crap... check this out " and build one of the baddest fukking indoor facilities in the country
