Today. What type of irons and Drivers do you guys like? I'll be getting my swing analysed, fitted and an idea of what clubs best suit me. I've been Golfing my whole life but getting my swing checked is long overdue for me.
I'm thinking about either Calloway or Taylormade for my Irons.
New Cobra Driver or the reduced Spin Adams Driver (less spin adds greater distance)
Anyways, what say you? I know we have some Link players on here.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
I have the Callaway RAZR X Tours from last year and I love them. Along with Taylormade RBZ 3 Hybrid and 3 Wood. I'm buying a new driver next week. Deciding between the new Cobra AMP Cell or the Taylormade R1.
Basically you can't go wrong with Callaway irons. They're the best in the business when it comes to irons.
Also. I suggest going with some better wedges as well. I have Vokey 48 52 56 and 60 degree wedges. Worth every penny I spent on them.
I have Mizuno irons and love them. They are a blade
Mizunos are great but expensive.
Meh, I paid like $600 a couple years ago for 4-pw. Worth every penny. Guys spend 4 on a new driver nowadays
save money and buy used ping eye 2's
What is happiness? The feeling that power is growing, that resistance is overcome.--Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche
These were my dad's first irons. Still plays them. Bought them in the 80's
I have Titleist irons. They are blades so they aren't as forgiving but if you have a consistent swing they fly. Used to have Mizunos like someone said above which were blades as well but they never really felt good in my hands I had to put lead tape on them because they were so light.
Drivers, I have a Taylormade Burner and not gonna lie, I don't like it. I have never really had a driver I loved and felt awesome with. I had a Cleavland Hibore back in the day, Titleist D2, Nike Sasquatch and never felt comfortable with any. Only driver I loved was my Wilson driver that came in my 7 piece set when I was 8.
That is a good price. When I have priced them in the last they were north of $1,000.
I have a set of Calloways razor X and calloways driver, 3 wood and 5 wood.
I love the set
i still use ping eye 2's
$100 buys you a set. they will not disappoint
Find great deals on eBay for ping eye 2 and ping eye 2 plus irons. Shop with confidence.
use the savings to play pinehurst #2
I heard course was overrated, like Pebble(not including view)
I think I bought them when no one wanted them yet. 07 or 08.
Mine are light as hell but feels like slicing butter when you hit it good
the views are part 'n parcel with the golf course IMO. can't separate. when on a liesurely round of golf i enjoy gazing out onto the ocean
A lot of guys at the club just switched over to those RocketBladez by TaylorMade. I'm using my dad's older set of Calloway Big Bertha irons and I love 'em, along with a set of Cleveland wedges. God knows how old they are.
Or like Augusta the other 45 or so weeks of the year (or so I'm told).
Go play Pacific Dunes. Better than both and probably cheaper.
i haven't been up there yet. i hear great things.
All 3 courses up there are great. Best golf trip of my life.
Next trip is hopefully to the Old Course.
scotland is great.
melbourne australia is a great trip too. go during the aussie open, check out some great tennis and they have multiple great old alister mackenzie courses in that city including royal melbourne which was rated top 5 course in the world for many years. i played many in that city, but wasn't able to play royal melbourne
I have the RBZ 3 wood. That thing flies. Also with blades. If you skull it, or it off. You're going to feel them. I used to play with blades. I love my Razor X Tours. They're ba cavity back. But I get the same amount of control with the ball, but with more forgiveness.
